I've traveled to Cambodia multiple times and have always stayed at the Anise. I have never been disappointed. The staff goes out of their way to make sure everything is right. The rooms are always clean and have everything you need. The restaurant is great and very reasonably priced. I rarely travel outside the hotel for food. There are always... More

Stayed here twice during a recent trip to Cambodia. On the first visit stayed in the annexe across the road. The room and facilities was very nice once you got in but the entrance and stairs were a bit daunting - steep and narrow. Stayed in the main hotel on the return leg of my journey. Again room was great... More

We stayed at the Anise for a week in January. This is a small hotel in a central location that is several blocks from the river. We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting excellent value while maintaining a sense of real atmosphere and connection to the Cambodian culture. The soul of the place is a wraparound covered terrace... More

Well located, with all the sites within the ciy an easy walk away, the Anise is a friendly, welcoming very clean place. We had a room on the second floor which was adequate but but nothing to get enthusiastic about. You could however enthuse about the food. Excellent Khmer dishes well prepared and served, if you were fortunate enough to... More

This is the third time that I have reviewed this hotel and it remains a favourite. I spent five days there in early March and enjoyed the stay. I had a large and comfortable room on the second floor for a very reasonable price and as always the room was clean, the staff obliging and the restaurant bar area a... More

Anise Hotel was a friendly relaxing oasis on my trip to Phnom Penh. Lovely rooms, tasty restaurant and helpful and friendly staff. I enjoyed the tropical feeling on the terrace during meals (excellent breakfast and fish amok). The free daily laundry service is really fantastic extra as my clothes really needed a refresh after a hot and dusty day doing... More

This tavern has a huge sense to it. The eating place/lobby region is so pleasant. Woven seats, foliage ubiquitously, big pots of bright catch fish, seats to be seated within and away. An actually fine place to park you has their huge feast choice. Provisional housing are hygienic and the whole thing workings! Wi-Fi is quick and television welcome extremely... More

This boutique hotel gives you a peaceful impression from the very beginning. An old building, looks and feels like a relic of the French provincial era, but very comfortable and quaint. Four floors with no lift, a definite downside, but the few rooms on the fourth floor open onto a roof garden overlooking the city. Reasonably located near the centre... More

I have stayed here multiple times since they opened many years ago now. The people are terrific- lean over backwards to be accommodating- the rooms are fine, with free A.C., internet, cable, bottled water, and really 1st rate laundry [free] ! The verandah is to die for with many breakfast choices[incl.] and fine other meals available - soft local music 3... More
