I have stayed at the Anise several times over the years and always return there if I can. The location is excellent, with everything you need close by, including the big 'Lucky Supermarket' and loads of restaurants within a short walking distance, besides it's own 'Terrace' on the ground floor. It's not super luxury, just friendly, convenient and well-run -... More

Based on reviews, we booked here for three nights. Deluxe room. The room was okay, but worn around the edges. It had a sitting room and a balcony, oddly situated off the bedroom. The size of the room was good, but there was mold on the wall near the A/C, furniture chipped, walls need to be repainted, etc. But, we... More

Dear IMAdventures, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. We are sorry your stay with us was not as enjoyable as it could been because of the construction across the street from us. As you might have seen yourself, it is difficult nowadays to find a place in Phnom Penh that is undisturbed by... More

I come here every year for a conference and even though the conference has moved location , I have decided to stay at the same hotel. As well as free wifi everywhere, I have breakfast included and five items of clothing washed every day. The staff are extremely polite without being over the top and have been very helpful considering... More

Hotel Anise is in a great location near the Independence Monument and a very nice pagoda just 5 minute walk away. You can meet interesting NGO people over dinner on their patio. Prices are reasonable and rooms are clean and comfortable.

I always try to stay here when visiting Phnom Penh. The rooms are clean and tidy. The restaurant is great and a nice place to hang out. The food is excellent. Wifi coverage is good. Staff are always friendly.

Phnom Penh was our final stop during our two weeks in Cambodia and we are pleased we picked this hotel. If you are not scared of stairs (no lift!) ask for a room on the top floor, as they all open on the roof garden with expansive views of the city. The area is perfect, lots of restaurants and bars... We stayed three nights in February 2015 and enjoyed all aspects of our stay. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. The room was excellent with great rainwater shower, plenty of space, and practically a private roof top terrace as we were on the top floor. It was a comfortable walk to the Independence Palace and National Museum and... More

I stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions, whilst travelling . I'm SO glad that I STAYED IN THIS PART OF TOWN, ( the riverside has a very different vibe) and delighted that I chose the Anise. I agree with recent reviews about the welcoming, efficient staff. Front desk advice is very helpful Transfers are reliable and efficient. The... More

Travelled through Phnom Penh a number of times and always stayed here, mainly on business .A great welcome always awaits and very helpful staff. I have found it easy and relaxed to have business meetings here as well. The spec is fine if unspectacular, but clean with an efficient laundry service and great breakfast. Beats those impersonal chains and good... More

We stayed for two nights in a standard double room in this charming hotel in Central PP. The downstairs restaurant area is the perfect place to relax; with all green plants around the outside it's easy to forget you're in the middle of dusty Phnom Penh. The staff, food and service are all faultless. The room we had was small... More
