i travelled to PP 2 weeks ago and spent time at the FCC and the Quay. The FCC retains its charm and character - it is well known and popular and great for lunch, dinner or an evening with cocktails. i also found that the Quay had great food and a very nice dining experience in a more quiet and... more

We did not stay here so could not comment on the rooms, but the food is good and the view surely thr best in Phnom Penh. This is worth the visit alone just to watch the Mekong idle past while enjoying a chilled bottle of white. Only downside are the aggressive Tok Tok men outside. more

The lobby looks like a Russian style building. Our room contained used soap only....no shampoo, hairdryer, Internet or other "normal" hotel amenities. The mattress was barely an inch thick, hard and ridiculous for a decent night's sleep. But, it made no difference as the Bar music above was so loud that sleep was impossible. And, the bar crowd stomped down... more

This was my fourth trip to Cambodia, this time bringing my wife along to explore the country. Normally I do the backpack thing and stay in guest houses, but wanted my wife to have a more comfortable experience. FCC had the Palace View room available, why not, sounds good, the pictures looked good. Upon our arrival and check-in we were... more

On 31 October 2009 we stayed at The Quay hotel in Phnom Penh. This hotel was very good: nice room, everything was working and clean etc. There The Quay hotel did not had any rooms on 4 November we went to their sister hotel: FCC Phnom Penh. We were with 4 adults and booked 2 rooms at FCC. Our stay... more

We stayed for three nights at the FCC at the start of our trip to Cambodia. We stayed on K'bal Spean room on the first floor, which was massive with a good bathroom. We had requested an extra bed in the room which had not been done when we arrived. The main draw back of this room is as it... more

Despite having been here for less than 20 years, the FCC somehow manages to pull off a patina of historical. The good bits: good location, great dining spot for the balcony, 5-7 happy hour is pretty good, staff are friendly and a few are stand out efficient and take things seriously. Ambiance is nice and the pace in the town... more

Positives - big room, great breakfast, good location and views, service generally pretty good. Negatives - bathroom a bit disappointing, shower flooding, small scraps of soap that didn't replace on 2nd day. - service bit hit and miss, we had to call and talk for a while to explain we didn't have bath towels. obviosuly our room wasn't properly made... more

Unlike Pavilion, FCC has no pools, but FCC is a place with the actions, with travellers come in and out of the restaurant upstairs, you can feel the energy and the passion of the old colonial days. The room is skillfully decorated, with spacious bathroom. Although we have found few cockroaches during our stay (you just cannot avoid them when... more
