The Himadri hotel apartments are a good option to stay in Phnom Penh. Located on the river, all apartments have options to cook. Its located near to the palace as well as to the markets. Motorcycle taxis are available outside and good to negotiate with them for trips to the killing fields etc. more

I stayed here for two weeks on business. The room was clean and large. The bed was firm just as I like it. Bottled water was generously supplied daily. There is free high speed internet in the room. Breakfast was good--lots of choice and fresh fruit, eggs to order. This is not a five star hotel and the rooms are... more

I stayed at the Himawari last November with my husband and 2 children. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We booked an apartment which was amazingly big for the price. It felt like a house rather than a hotel. Well appointed without too much fuss and in a central location in Pnom Penh. Pool area... more

The Himawari facilities are reasonably nice, and some of the staff are very professional, but during my stay the hotel had events with music so loud the windows of my room were literally shaking. It wasn't something that I could ignore (even with earplugs!). The music was much, much louder than I would ever consider having in my hotel room,... more

We had to go to Cambodia unexpectedly on business at the height of the Water Festival so hotels were at a premium, we found the Himawari on a hotel room website and as it had a vacancy we booked it. This place is excellent, we have stayed in Phnom Penh twice before and had mixed success with hotels but the... more

The Himawari is a big, modern hotel with large rooms and excellent facilities, but no particular Cambodian charm. It sits alongside the Mekong, but not all rooms face the river - so its a good idea to ask for a river view when you book. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, and well supplied with mineral water. The pool is... more

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a fabulous trip to northern Vietnam and Cambodia. There didn't seem to be many nice hotels in Phnom Penh at the time we booked our trip and this one looked ok on the internet. Don't be fooled. Our room was bland, every drawer and cupboard stank of dirty feet and... more

Spent 4 days here in February. We booked a studio but were upgraded to a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. This was very clean, very spacious, although the view of the room overlooked the maintenance yard this really didnt bother us. The hotel is well located in a quiet area of the city and about 15/20 min walk to busy... more

We stayed in the Himawari during the Water Festival in November (when the population of Phnom Penh swells from 1 million to 2 million - or so I'm told!). The Himawari is located right in the centre of the activity. This provided a great atmosphere and some entertainment (like the four of us getting moto-taxis through the Cambodian crowds). The... more

We have just returned from Cambodia and the best bit about Phnom Penh was this hotel, it is totally luxurious, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts and gorgeous rooms. I can recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone - very pleased with our selection ! more
