Pre booked 3 rooms for 2 nights for 6 adults with travel agent. On arrival from Kuala Lumpur on 25 Dec 2014, the hotel was in a bad condition due to renovation, including noises of the renovatoon. Not conducive for stay during the trip. Had to move out to another hotel. The travel agent was helpful in getting a better... More

I have been at the NY hotel for a couple of times, it was always good value for money and the location befits my needs. This time however they're untertaking a much needed major renovation - sadly they did not tell me before I had upgraded my prepaid Agoda reservation form Superior to DeLuxe Room. The noise after 9am is... More

Yes, there are better hotels in Phnom Penh and fancier ones. The NY hotel is from the 1980's likely, and furniture starts getting dated. However, you will probably not find better value for money when in PP, unless you need pool or other amenities. For someone on business or someone into exploring PP all daythime it's a good choice. I traveled in a group and this hotel would never have been my choice. Room on 3rd floor with only a small window, furniture and bed old, worn, and sheets (and towels) were probably clean, but didn't really look like it. Bathroom needs a facelift and amenities below average. No idea of the price, so cannot judge price-quality balance. Location... More

We have stayed here quite a few times, it is good value for money (US$25 for twin sharing). Basic amenities are sufficiently provided. The room that we stayed in this time gave some problem as the bathroom door was tight and my room mate did not have the strength to open it! The breakfast was a simple spread but one... More

The New York hotel has rooms from as low as $25 to the Suite, which costed us $58 a night. You should look at this hotel, its centrally located, great food stuff around, within a short TUK TUK auto drive of about 5 minutes to a centrally airconditioned mall and also the SHOPPING OF A LIFETIME IN PNH the CENTRAL... My family stayed there for two nights. I need exhange 100USD to two notes 50USD but receptionist refused my asking with un-friendly voices. I also asked them to rent a motorbike but not available... The toilet was leaking water to floor, making wet floor in toilet. They delayed on cleaning room in morning until afternoon when we came back from... More

I stayed on 7th Feb 2013. The room I booked was $25. Friendly staff and convenience to take tuk-tuk. The tuk-tuk are always stand by in front of the hotel. The restaurant beside the hotel served variety of cuisines like Vietnam, Thai, Khmer and others. You can get your lunch and dinner from that restaurant. The price is reasonable. The... More

I booked into the New York Hotel because, unusually, my normal choice of hotel was fully booked. With the website advertising rates at $38 a room, one would think the New York Hotel is one of the better middle-range hotels in Phnom Penh. At first, the room seemed okay for the $28 I was quoted, the only problem came about... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently and not even one night without power trip every now and then. The air cond is terrible and the only plus point is it is next to the halal Muslim restaurant, D Wau. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone at all. On the second day, my friend who stayed...
