Our party of 11 really enjoyed our time at the Grand View ... the atmosphere in the bar was fab and it offered good, reasonably priced food all day. Staff were welcoming and hospitable. A little off the beaten track this is an ideal base for travellers on a budget ...rooms were very small and could have been much cleaner.... More

friendly staff can't complain about it as price was super cheap although we booked a aircon room but got put into a room with a fan first night and promised aircon room next day. Fell through as no rooms with aircon available. alright place if your traveling on a budget don't expect anything great

I came through Phnom Penh twice during my stay in Cambodia, both on my own and with friends and we had an excellent time at Grandview. The staff are friendly and welcoming and happy to help with anything. My friend got her camera stolen on the way to the city and one of the staff insisted she contacted the police... More

During my ten days stay here, Western male tourists had mobile phones stolen on four separate occasions, myself included. Two male members of staff, Cien ( restaurant) and Hien ( reception. He was fired once for stealing but somehow is still working here!) befriend male guests, lace drinks with a sleeping substance and enter rooms in the evenings, whilst you... More

on the 'very' side of average.. okay price considering you get your own room, however, no air conditioning, just a fan, minuscule bathroom with cold shower, very little space to put bags or clothes, the Wifi is okay speed in the lobby/restaurant, however didn't reach the top floor, which is pretty irritating! on the plus side, food is simple, but... Our room was small but clean. We had a window that looked out on what used to be the lake, Watch their math though. The food was decent but I had to correct them on the change they gave back several times. They got the dates wrong on the Vietnamese visa for my friend and she had to pay to... More

I like the GV Hostel. It's cheap, the stuff is friendly and helpfull. The food is good. If you search for an place to sleep and don't expect hotel-standards, this is your place. It's placed at the formally lake which is now gone, but can feel the old charme of this area.

Grand view is perfect for the average traveler budget. A single room is 4$ per night, you have to pay at least a dollar more for a bed in a dorm in the center of Phnom Penh. The food is good and cheap, same as the laundry (75ct per kilo)! The staff is friendly and good English speaking. Rooms come... More

It is a bit hidden away down a back street but it is a good place to stay cheaply. The too. Was a basic double with a fan and own bathroom. The shower was not hot but that was fine for us in the heat. The restaurant is so nice, lots to choose from, really cheap and everything we had... More

This is a perfect guest house if you're travelling with cheap budget. 5$ per night in a simple double room, with fan, own bathromm and window. The staff is really nice, allways ready to help you. You can also buy bus tickets and apply for visas at fare prices. And don't miss to eat something at the restaurant, very good... More
