I stayed here 2 times for several nights and i was looking for a cheap stay (not dorms but same price), first time they didnt have single (4$), so they offered me a twin for 5$ with a shared bathroom, which was clean, had 2 fans, balcony next to the room, little bit noisy as it faced the main 182... Very affordable! Rooms are clean and comfortable. On the downside, the hostel is situated right next to a number of bus terminals, so the street can be quite chaotic and polluted. Stay away from the Capitol ground floor restaurant. The food is just barely edible. More

I stayed at the Capitol for three nights with two Cambodian teachers while attending a conference in PP. My single fan room was very clean and comfortable, included tv and ensuite bathroom all for the grand price of $6 per night. Teachers' twin room at $7 per night was uncomfortably warm (on sunny side of building) so they changed to... More

Staff are very accomdating and speak good English. The rooms are very clean and free wifi. If you will go to another place/province and you want your luggage to place there, this is fine and free as long you have a pad lock. Very cheap accomdation, for as low as $3.00 USD you will have a single room with fan. More

Standard place for backpackers; but Capitol has also good and inexpensive cafe downstairs, currency exchange, ticket office for busses and travel agency. Bus stop is just opposite the doors. More

The Capitol Guesthouse is an excellent Guesthouse if you travel with the bus, as you arrive just next to it (with capitol tours) and leave one block further down the street. Furthermore the room rate are quite cheap and you get nice clean big rooms. More

My mother, sister and I travelled for a month around SE Asia in the fall of 2009, and loved everywhere we stayed (almost always hostels) except for Capitol Guesthouse. I really think this place used to be a prison. In fact, it still looks like one while walking through the dirty hallways, with bars everywhere. The room was large, but... More

Nice rooms;very good mattresses and wel maintained guest house in the center of Pp. Down there is restaurant with cheap food. Definitely a good place for fellow-travellers. I recommend this place and as I go quit often to Pp for business I definitely will stay over there. More

Capitol is a great place if you're doing a quick, self-directed tour of Phnom Penh. It's in a busy corner which is actually kind of exciting - plenty of late night foods, bicycle rentals, tuk tuks, and dangerous traffic - but it's also far from most bars and nightlife which can be annoying. For as low as $3 you have... More

We started with a roam around the area looking for good value rooms - there were 3 of us and a 4th on the way - we settled here for a number of reasons - the 3 bed room was HUGE and white and clean with it's own balcony (3 single/double beds each wioth access either side, as well as... More
