stayed here recently. Staff friendly and helpful, room at front of hotel was spacious and clean with a nice little balcony overlooking the river and also unfortunately building works. Bathroom clean and functional.Aircon. Central position in tourist area. BUT Overpriced ++ also you had to leave your key when you went out in an unlocked drawer at the desk and... more

Just stayed at this hotel and it is definitely overpriced for what you get. I thought the rooms were alright. Service was terrible. They managed to lose my clothes which I gave for laundry ( I got a refund but prefer to keep my clothes), no hot water and lack of response when I mentioned it to the staff, made... more

the rooms are terribly overpriced, staff are unfriendly, there is a stench of sewage, breakfast is extra (and at $8 per person one of the most expensive in town) and you cannot cancel without losing one night's deposit. A true rip-off , inexplicably mentioned in the the Lonely Planet. I cannot imagine that it will be around much longer given... more

I don't know about the ordinary rooms at the back but the large suites on the riverside with a balcony are quite good (even though the view on the Tonle Sap was polluted by the works there) and tastefully decorated with asian clothes and furniture. The situation on Sisowath quay is perfect. The staff is o.k., the breakfast satisfying. Not... more

The location is great! I was a little put off by paying for a night up front and also having to give up your key whenever you leave. There just seemed to be a great deal of distrust. The other thing that was a turn off was the staff (especially outside), are dressed in what appears to be military uniforms.... more

This is well placed to stay in Phnom penh and has the nice touches to give a special feeling, but some things were not working in our room (lights, tv color, and sink was poor drain), However none too bad and lovely decoration made up. workmen are making the noise in the morning which was not so great, but got... more

We stayed one night and the minute we arrived were asked to pay up, before we'd even been into our room - some staff need customer service training. The room was comfortable but lacked hot water, so was not worthwhile for $66. My mobile phone also went missing that day, which may or may not have been at the hotel... more

Very good rooms, our huge suite was quite comfortable and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful, but the owner was not. Seems to go out of his way to ignore guests with aloof indifference, not a warm welcome at all. Perhaps we caught him on a bad couple of days, or maybe he did not care for... more

We contacted the Bougainvillier hotel a few weeks before arrival and confirmed our reservation with a one night (60 USD) credit card deposit and several conversations over the phone to be doubly sure. arrived at the hotel to be told that our room was actually not in the bougainvillier hotel (which was fully booked) but a "sister" hotel nearby. complained... more
