The Billabong is an OK hotel - centrally located and built around a pleasant pool with greenery offering limited shade. However, the rooms are a bit spartan and the sound insulation is poor - you will hear the preparations for breakfast at 5am and we were disturbed one night by a loud drunk at the bar getting shouty at about... Paid $60 odd dollars for a family room. We were more than happy with our room. We had ground floor in the new building approx 20 steps from the decent sized pool. Staff were friendly and offered great service. The hotel is one block from Sorya Mall and two blocks from Central Market. Breakfast was basic but sufficient and had... More

Had a great stay here. Just a basically good hotel. Bathrooms were clean and modern. Good breakfast and a good sleep. Mattresses were good quality. Pool area is a must in the heat here. Umbrella would be a bonus around the pool. Definitely recommend.

If you want to stay near everything in Phnom Penh and you have a limited budget, so this is one of the best choice. Swimming pool, breakfast , calm. You will be quiet. You can go out in the place where everything happened at nifght, but also can visit during the day the market or palace

I only spent one night at this hotel but I loved all the staff I spoke with, they were all accommodating and friendly! Loved the breakfast by the pool and I loved every minute I spent swimming there too! As for the room, I only booked the Standard Single room, as I traveled alone. It was a basic room with... More

I booked this hotel after reading favorable reviews. It is below average small family run hotel. Although located close to central market, but not on a very nice side road. Sure it has a small swimming pool, but the rooms are very basic. There is a safe and a fridge in the room but no wardrobe or storage areas or... More

Lovely, big rooms, really cool and refreshing oasis from the heat of PP. The cafe has tasty milkshakes and a very welcoming swimming pool. The map is incorrect so make sure to locate the hotel before you set off-we spent a hot half hour trying to find it! Highly recommend this place.

We had stayed in Phnom Penh just a few weeks before, so we had a comparison. The room was small, mouldy and did not even have a fridge in 35 degree heat? The shower curtain was so mouldy we ask for a new one. The shower was so dirty I wore my thongs. We had stayed in a much cleaner,... More

We turned up at The Billabong around noon, the receptionist upgraded our room to a family room which was awesome after staying in a bungalow for 5 weeks! We chose this place because they have a rule of no Khmer woman with a westerner unless married, now you probably think wtf whats wrong with seeing that, well after a week... More
