iconic hotel in a central location. built in the 1960s but currently upgrading. right next to the river, and great for having a feel of river life in phnom penh. amenities are very good, although parts feel empty because of the size. overall good value

This hotel is run down and worn out. My room had a chipped bathtub, leaky faucet in the tub, wobbly faucet handles in the sink, chipped paint on the walls and severely buckled carpet in the hallway. When maintenance is so neglected, it makes you wonder what else is being overlooked, especially in the kitchen. One night we went down... More

Pleased with the all round service provided by the resort. Location is prime. It's right besides the river (great room view if you get river facing room) and in downtown. is 10 mins. walking distance to the major attractions like AEON mall, Grand Palace, Indepedent monument and the Menok river street (where u find the local bars). Nice, clean property... More

This was certainly once a top address in the city of Phnom Pen, but things can look run down so quickly and the need to pay extra for Internet access is a nuisance, particularly when the hotel rate is not cheap.

The location in front of the confluence between the Mekong and the Tonle Sap river is à wonderful place. Your are welcomed by a smiling team. The registration is supervised by a lady who takes care of the guest with dedication and professionalism. The room is clean and the room service is excellent.

very bad internet connection, crappy TV reception, very poor physical condition of the building although the staff tries to help, for the price, it should be much better! Breakfast is OK but the staff is clueless-have to ask for coffee every time and they don't understand to take plates away??? Let's wait until the manager can bring it around to... More

This hotel is the best example of processes in an emerging country: relatively expensive, but the service and quality of the food is less than average. The problem starts with a certain amount of arrogance and ignorance of the management. E.g. if you would like to order food or drinks at the swimming pool around 11:30am, well .... good luck... Our stay at the Cambodiana was spoiled by the loud music coming from the hotel bar. We found it impossible to sleep due to the pounding noise. After asking for a room change, we were given a free upgrade to a quieter riverview room. The hotel is lacklustre with few redeeming features apart from it's central riverfront location.

I had the experience of staying in this hotel in September this year. It is just another property which makes it to a 4 star category. The staff needs lots of training. The old property needs lot of attention. All in all I would avoid this hotel if I had a choice.
