This is a little oasis in the middle of a bustling city. The Monument has a great location for exploring Phnom Penh, whilst also being quiet and relaxed at night time. The room (standard double) was spacious and well appointed, and the staff were very helpful in changing anything I asked about. Breakfast is basic but fine (eggs, toast, fruits,... More

I was advised to use monument by friends who had stayed there on their travels in Phnom Penh and it was the perfect advice. It was small compared with what the others had but it was just right for me. The staff were brilliant, multilingual and so very helpful. I really appreciated their connection with the tuk tuk drivers and... More

Nice hotel, location is very good, and there is a tuk tuk cooperative right outside the hotel in case you are planning to go further afield to the Killing Fields or the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (in a quick unrelated note I would like to quote Lonely Planet to say that both sites are definitely “Not for the faint–hearted” but... Did not enjoy our stay here, was really disappointing after reading all these positive reviews of the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel the staff were not very welcoming and showed us to our room which had a bathroom that smelt like a swamp, which had a number of mosquitos in it. The air conditioner in the room would... More

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days during the Water Festival. The staff was excellent throughout. Some thoughts: Staff: Very friendly and quick to provide advice and comfort. We had several conversations with various staff members about their lives and what to do in the city. They warned us of thieves in the city and told us to... More

The staff at Monument Hotel really couldn't help you anymore. They were friendly and courteous at every turn. The hotel is in a good location and I felt pretty safe the whole time I was there. Breakfasts were really good, eggs cooked fresh and you could make your own toast! So it was crisp and the right amount of brown.... More

The room I booked was fairly basic and the furnishing well used. The shower in the bath was quite nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool looked nice for a hotel of this size. I only stayed one night and was getting a pick up by Giant Ibis bus at 7:00. Since the breakfast didn't start till 7:00,... More

I've stayed in Phnom Penh three times, and this was the best location of all, in terms of being near the monuments, restaurants, not far from the river and not far from the city where I was working for a couple of weeks. Other than that the room itself wasn't bad but the rest of my experience was poor. The... More

Loved this hotel, definitely not one of your run of the mill small city hotels. Very cozy decor and very creative. Staff is great, they immediately upgraded us to a deluxe room on check-in and constantly attended to our every whim (even when that whim was Italian pizza at 11pm). They also support a lot of great causes in cambodia,... More

Let me start by saying its not the "Ritz Carlton" But it isn't meant to be and would lose all of its quaint charm if it was. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival that the photos actually gave a true depiction of the hotel. The beds are great, we slept everynight, the rooms are clean and the location is perfect... More
