We stayed here for 1 night originally in a superior double room which includes breakfast the next day. The room is very spacious with the best bathroom we have seen in on our entire trip to both Thailand and Cambodia (a shower I can actually stand up in!!!) We liked the hotel so much that we decided to stay another... More

Service is good. Reception is friendly and polite. Room is clean and nice. Basic facilities including hair dryer is provided. However, there's lots of mosquitoes at Level 1. And there is no lift. We stayed at Level 3, but thank God we traveled light.

It's not too close to the riverfront, but the rooms are cleaner, the restaurant and wine selection are fairly good. The lobby and furniture are very comfortable and the reception is friendly. The price will be higher, but no one will try to sell you cannabis as soon as you walk out your door in the morning/afternoon. If you want... More

My son and I stayed here for two nights in mid July 2014 - and the feedback we have is mixed. On the positive side; the building has a certain retro charm to it, and it's fairly comfortable too - it's two floors only; there is no lift. Beds are also comfortable -which in Cambodia seems a luxury to find-... More

We stayed in a room in the buildings across the street (where the pool is). Neg: - Walls are made out of cardboard: you can hear everything your neighbours are saying. When you have two girls as a neighbour who come home at 4am after a drunk night you'll hear them. - No hot water and low water pressure in... More

A new owner and manager appear to have changed this hotel. While it is elegantly designed the management and facilities are unexpectedly bad. My first room was dark with windows 50 cm from the neighbouring wall. There were mosquitos in the room, no hot water and the wifi was unreliable. The coffee cups in my rom were dirty on arrival.... Stayed several nights at this hotel-loved the location, very central and easy to walk to central market, river, Royal Palace etc. Stayed at the building near the swimming pool, which whilst lacking some greenery and pool furniture, was new, clean and well kept-pool was clean- the new manager is keen to address these issues of improving the buildings gardens, pool... So much choice in PP. It's the first that I returned to the same hotel twice. I stayed in the other building close to the swimming pool. A beautiful French Colonial house. When I arrived I saw that there was something different. The Hotel didn't looked very nice anymore. I found out that there was a new manager so it's... More

Staff extremely helpful upon learning I had booked wrong room was fixed and sorted within five minutes and I was relaxing in hot bath not ten minutes later. Rooms clean and big bed bit hard but that was ok for me. Tuk tuk drivers had a bit of trouble finding the place but this was all part of the fun.... More

My friends and I were travelling around Cambodia and spent three nights in Phnom Pehn at the Royal Mekong. It was in a great location. Close to the riverside and all the restaurants etc but on a quiet side street. The pool was a welcome treat given the heat while we were there in April. Rooms are very modern and... More
