Great friendly staff and a nice lobby. The rooms are basic but clean. Nick the tuk tuk driver is great and the only one that seems to know the city and not get lost. I had a room at the front overlooking the street it seemed noisy at first but is really quit after midnight I slept well anyway. Due.... More

Ideal if you're on a budget... Our rooms were cool, quiet and the staff were always helpful. We paid about $8-10 dollars a night, for a twin room, which has all your basics, comfortable bed, and hot shower. We had trouble looking for places to eat around this location, but as far as your stay goes, it should be very... More

Clean, cozy, and pretty convenient. The staff is a little shy, but really, very helpful when you take the initiative to ask the right questions about transport, fair prices, etc. Be aware that you might need to request an extra blanket as the one they provide is pretty small for 2 people. The only "negatives" were that the location is... More

Family of 4 stayed 3 nights in this slightly out-of the way but quiet (by Asian standards) hotel. Tuk tuk met us at bus station, and we had reliable, reasonably priced (if you negotiate) tuk tuk service throughout visit, including the 40-minute run to airport. Helpful, friendly staff. Rooms were small but clean. Beds comfortable but with weird sheet arrangement,... More

Stayed here for 3 nights last week and was pretty pleased with it! isn't the best location and you really have to venture around for food in the evening. But we risked it with bicycles around the city and wasn't that bad getting around. Getting a tuk tuk to the killing fields is quite expensive, but had to do it!... More

When I moved to Cambodia seven months ago I stayed at the Star Wood Inn and thought it was a delightful place. Recently I stayed there for a week between apartments and changed my opinion. Now that I know Phenom Penh, the Star Wood didn't take location, location location into account. Consequently, you have to go almost everywhere by tuk-tuk,... More

Ants in the room, hotel staff tried their best to sell a tuk-tuk trip. Room was not cleaned even after we asked them to do so. Nothing to write home about. Stayed there for 6 nights. The hotel staff didn't really know where the bus station was, what Apsara dance was and where we could watch it.

I have stayed in Star Wood Inn for 3 weeks during my research and there is absolutely nothing negative I could mention, however so much positive! The people there are just amazing. They are always helpful, polite, friendly and reliable. They would share their fruits with me, give me company when I was sitting downstairs and share their experiences and... More
