We arrived at Phnom Penh via Mekong Bus. Good thing about the Mekong Bus Terminal is that they also have tuk-tuk terminal in the area and they have fixed fare based on your destination (They will show a map with corresponding fare amount). The streets in PP are in numbers so it might be helpful to write the address in... More

Friends from Texas came to visit and wanted to eat at Lonestar. We did not stay there, overnight. I am grateful that my out-of-town friends turned me on to this place! The food was really good. The other foreigners had chicken-fried steak, along with mashed potatoes and fried okra, and loved it. I had the Jack Daniels sauce pork ribs,... More

This is my second stay at this guesthouse/ saloon/ restaurant and it delivered the same quality as I had experienced the time before. However, there is only one downside to this story and it is not really a bad thing, it is that is just getting harder and harder to get rooms here. I guess the old adage that "success... More

Stayed here for two nights. Rooms are huge, air con was great and good wi fi. The bed very hard. All in all a good place to stay. The real highlight are the staff that work at this place. A good bar, quiet corner of the world, great feel, love the kitsch around the place. Take away the Fox News... More

Bar staff are lovely, good crowd with almost a "Cheers" feel about it. Room are some of the largest I have stayed in and the food is worthy of the Texan theme (Australian reviewer; Tex exposure limited). Try the Jack Daniel's marinated pork ribs, you will not regret it!

As always, pick anything on the menu and you will be happy. The food is great. A wide variety on the menu, lots of compliments from other customers during my visit. And its always nice to see the friendly staff here at the Lone Star.

I ate a chili cheeseburger with jalapenos at Lone Star for dinner. The staff spoke English well, were chatty and I had no problem getting my chili and jalapenos on the side, as well as a side of mayonnaise. While the burger obviously cooked on the outside, the center was medium rare which I don't usually appreciate. It was tasty,... More

My husband I just made our first trip to Cambodia and stayed here. We are already planning our trip for next year and will be sure to stay here again. The rooms are large and very clean. All these rave reviews could be a bit misleading. The rooms are a good size (especially the more expensive front rooms) but (as the one disappointed reviewer loudly complained) don't have hairdryers, nice soaps and shampoos or even free water. Also the rooms are a bit dated in appearance, the beds are a bit knackered and so are the sheets... More
