I was staying on the riverfront at a guesthouse/bar called The Red Fox when due to a little "over enthusiastic St Patrick's day celebrations" I slipped and fell injuring my leg. The guest house owner Brett seeing my problems with climbing the stairs recommended the Blue Tongue as they had an elevator and we're centrally located for pharmacy clinics etc... More

The hotel is pretty good. Nice rooms, price / quality OK. The problem is the safety deposit boxes at reception. Staff have access to them. Just before I checked out, 1300 usd had been stolen out of my wallet inside the safety deposit box. There was still more than 2000 usd in the wallet, so I only noticed when I... More

My room was good - just the narrow horisontal window was facing a concrete wall and let in very little light. The staff was friendly, however. And the stay was a pleasant experience. I might return some other time.

When I visited in February 2015 I was assured my valuables would be safe in their office area security lockers, on my last day when I collected my belongings I was upset to find my money pouch had $1700 AU stolen out of it. Be very carful if you choose to stay in this hotel as it clearly is not... More

The room (room 303) is probably the best room we stayed in so far throughout Thailand and Cambodia despite it's 'bunker' ambiance, and it probably should have been for $24 a night. The shower was particularly nice - hot and powerful. The bed, large and just firm enough. We also had a good fridge, A/C and a TV. Unfortunately, if... More

The rooms are in a state of disrepair. The curtains in my room were ripped. The plastic strip that you insert in a slot in the room to close the electrical circuit and have electricity was old and battered. Of course, it broke after about 5 days and they charged me 5 dollars for a new piece of plastic that... More

For me this is one of those middle of the road hotels. The rooms I stayed in were clean, the service is ok, not great and not bad. The food is ok, again not great but the food I had was fine. The breakfast is half price and one coffee or tea is free if you order a second cup... More

I knew I was taking a chance by booking this hotel as it is attached to the infamous Walkabout, but based on the good reviews and after visiting the place, I decided to take a chance and book it. The rooms are surprisingly nice and good value. The place is not especially clean (don't place your finger over closets or... More

We ended up booking in here quite late on the spot after problems with another hotel and we were so glad we did! Great value for money with lovely rooms, nice staff (most speak good English) and nice breakfast. We found the cleaning ladies a bit snide and giggly, there were 4 of them cleaning one room who made us... More

We have been staying at this cafe which is actually a hotel over the past 4 yrs. It's comfortable and serves a great breakfast at discount (if you're a guest). The breakfast is 2 eggs sunny side, with a side of either bacon, ham or sausage. I always order bacon. Beans, hash brown n mushroom completes the order you have... More
