I don't review normally, for i am fairly easy going when it comes to hotels in Asian, for i have lived here for 7yrs , , OMG this is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in, in all my times. They go into your room and turn air con off constantly, even asked 5 times to keep on for... More

Staff were incredibly rude. They acted as if our business was an inconvenience to them. They tried to give us a prison cell room with no window and mildew for 20.00 USD a night. Phnom Penh is notorious for very poor quality guesthouses and this is one of them. If you do insist on staying here - choose room 301.... More

If you don't have anything else booked then the Waterview will do. I stayed in a room with no windows and it was clean and quiet with a good aircon and tv. Staff seemed a bit disorganized and the building could use a face-lift. You can book various forms of transportation from there.

I found this place quite by chance when I was booking a bus ticket to Sihanoukville. I got speaking to the manager and he said they had rooms starting at $15.For me the riverside is the best part of town so when I got back from Sihanoukville I made a beeline for this place. The room was quite small with... More

We stayed at the Waterview Guesthouse. We opted for a double private without a window to save a few £'s. The guest house was in a good location as the name suggests it is right on the Mekong River and close to the Palace, market and lots of bars and restaurants. On check in we were shown to a large... Staff was extremely rude and unaccommodating. The rooms are on a very busy, loud, and smelly main road. They were eager to take your money for tours and such, but the value and what was promised was another story. I would not recommend this place for singles or families. Couples only if you really want to rough it.

stayed here 3N in the smallest windowless room available. Online we were charged $18/night but when we heard another person enquire about rooms we were told it was $15/night, so it seems that the online prices are inflated. The windowless room made it so that we didn't hear any outside noise but we were on the top floor below the... More

I was looking forward to staying here after reading such great reviews from others. We booked the $18 a night room yesterday on booking.com, where it actually showed that there was one room left. We entered our credit card info, and received a confirmation. So, needless to say, after a very long bus ride to p.p. we were very upset... More

Location of the guesthouse was very good, facing the river. The room was clean, there was hot water, air conditioning, cable tv and wifi. The owner (a lady) was very accommodating, even assisted me in getting me a bus ticket to siem reap. Best part was, the pickup point for the bus was only 2 stops away. Overall my experience... More

On paper the Waterview Guesthouse seems the perfect choice to make for you temporary residence in Phnom Penh. However, err on the side of caution. The room my girlfriend and I rented was mouldy and plagued by small flies and other six legged insects. During our 4 months travelling, insects have become an acceptable part of the travel experience but... More
