Our arrival was greeted warmly by the front office staff. We were assigned room 220, a corner room that was on the other side of the hotel, away from noisy tuk-tuks as I requested. The room was nice and comfortable with good sized twin beds. The bathroom was dark, and there was water leaking from an exposed pipe. Towels given... more

I don't understand how I could be so wrong picking a hotel ranked so high by trusty tripadvisor. It is as charmless as a Motel 8, and looks and smells from inside more like rooms in a (cheap) restaurant than hotel rooms with a restaurant attached. For less money, we stayed and absolutely loved Kabiki in the same town with... more

I stayed there three times in February on a business trip. The rooms are nice and clean. No problems there at all. They have three kinds - one with windows, one with only like a sky-light high on the wall, and a suite. I stayed in the first two. The one with a window faces the road and is kind... more

Overall, very satisfying. I stayed for 7 days here. Clean, affordable, with free Wi-Fi. My room had reliable hot water, a refrigerator, a queen-size bed, cable TV, air conditioning. Service was pleasant and efficient -- Cambodians are a smiling, friendly people. I had most of my meals in the hotel -- not bad -- ranging from $4 to $8 (I... more

This is a fairly new hotel, but unfortunately with some rough edges. The rooms are very nice, but our biggest complaint is with the showers. For some odd reason they installed the shower head about one meter high, which makes them almost useless. The hot water only lasted about 2 minutes, didn't matter what time of day. The restaurant food... more

Heard of Almond from some friends. Though location is not as center as that along the riverfront, the hotel provides tut-tut for our convenience. The fact that our room was clean and everything works plus the bonus was, we had a private balcony overlooking beyond some official buildings to the Mekong river. The breakfast though not as elaborate as that... more

We spent one night here at short notice on our way back to the UK, having been diverted from Bangkok. The hotel is just about within walking distance (or a tuc-tuc ride) from the main sights, though there is little in the immediate area. In UK terms it would probably have 3 stars. On the plus side, service in the... more
