June 2014 - Currently Closed For Refurbishment (I think). Hope it would be nicer than other hotels when it is completed. It has a centralised location, near to the capital, Gadong, Kiulap the commercial centres, and the airport is about 10 minutes by car.

Located on the ground floor of Riverview Hotel in Bandar, the hotel is not impressive but the western cuisine in Senja is the best in the country. Brunei do not have many authentic western food and even if the outlet claims to be one, we'll categorise that as fusion. Senja is a great place to dine and entertain and one... More

Stayed here for 24 hr stop over. Emailed three times to arrange airport pick up, no reply and no pick up !. Luckily there was a taxi waiting which took us on the very short drive, for the set $25, which is avoids negotiating a price, but is pretty expensive. First impression was that the hotel was probably quite smart... More

I stayed here while travelling alone to Brunei. I asked for a non smoking room, but I was on the 3rd floor and as soon as you step out of the lift, you are greeted by the most horrible smell of smoke!! It's so strong, although thankfully the room itself didn't smell so bad. On first inspection the room looks... More

The Senja restaurant is a great place, very expat friendly, They have wine glasses and don't mind what you bring to put in them. Good food also, really enjoyed it - will be back!

Although the hotel doesn't look much (in fact it look pretty awful from the outside!), and I don't know what the rooms are like, the Senja Lounge Restaurant on the ground floor is very good and extremely popular with expats living in Bandar. You can also take your alcoholic dirnks there, which is a massive plus in Brunei!! Good food,... More

Very much a SOP hotel. Far from any ammenities like malls (not that there is a lot of malls in Brunei to begin with) or attractions. Everything in the room is very old but still functional and kept clean. I like the free Wifi which is fast and the cafe on the 3rd floor which has a good range of... More

This hotel has taken a dive in the last year or so. The rooms are tired and drab, the aircons are old and noisy and cannot be adjusted or set. The style is of the old 1970's Holiday Inns and the whole place needs a facelift. Even the shops that were in the lobby have closed down. Not recommended except... More

My mother and I stayed 6 nights at this excellent hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were 4 restaurants and the one just off the lobby allowed us to bring our own wine. The pool area was delightful especially when they hosted a children's birthday party in the afternoon. There were very few guests staying there at... More
