We fully enjoyed our stay in this centrally located hotel in an area that feels safe. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and speak English very well. The price\quality ratio is very good for Dhaka. The room is clean and friendly and the facilities are good. We will keep coming to this hotel while in Bangladesh as it... More

I enjoyed my 6 week stay at Hotel Pacific in Dhaka. The culture, spirituality, and community were hospitable, respectful, and protective particularly of visiting single women travelers. I enjoyed my time with the staff , who were very laidback, honest, and personable . The restaurant cooked specially catered meals, minimal salt, oil, spice specific to my liking. I recommend their... well Dhaka doesn't have the best budget accommodation, but hey this one is alright. if you opt for no AC plan on dying a fiery sweaty death in the middle of the night... but its incredibly cheap without the AC. fairly close walking distance to most main sights, and they even serve chicken curry during ramadan... sinners!!.so all in all... I booked this hotel because it was the only one with a website. Don't do the same mistake. The room was hot, unclean and with mold spots on the walls and ceiling. The sheets were missing and the mattress was dirty. I got surprised not to have bitten by bed bugs. The staff has not been helpful because it canceled... More

Very expensive for basic room..there wasn't anything nice about this place. I was accused of not paying for a night that I had paid for. They'd given me someone else's receipt! Restaurant staff quite nice but rest were unpleasant .

Location and Arrival I stayed at the Pacific in Dhaka for a few nights in the middle of January. It's located in the commercial area of Motijheel, between Dainik Bangla More and Shapla Chottor (magic words if you want find the hotel by taxi). Keep in mind that most Westerners stay in the 'up-scale' neighborhood of Gulshan. However, for sightseeing,... More

Despite very good efficient email communication before arriving, excellent wifi (in lobby and restaurant only), my room was dirty, service was poor, there was no hot water and, most importantly, my airport pick-up did not arrive and there was no attempt to communicate this.

have been in the hotel several times spread over the years in past, great location, good rooms (specially A/C rooms ending with 02), moderate kitchen and food service, welcome desk staff is very co operative and sincere.

This hotel was booked for its wifi availability and air conditioned rooms. Whilst my expectations were realistic and I expected a simple hotel, I did not expect the bad service and condition of the hotel. The airport pickup is an extra 1400 taka and was not an air conditioned car, nor did the windows wind up for the monsoon rain... More
