Horrible experience, Absolutely unsatisfying unprofessional and unhelpful staff the hotel didn't seem to care, the reception staff would play on their mobile phone while I waited to be served. let me point out what all is wrong with this hotel 1. the reception staff certainly wasn't courteous, I am sure a smile or even a fake smile wouldnt hurt. I... More

I booked in here from 10-15 December 2014 and extended by a week. Basically, if you're looking for places to stay, this will do. The rooms are pretty good for the price and mine had a vertigo inducing balcony as an extra. If you've any issues, say needing an extra clean or anything a gentle word with the staff works... More

The staff is very friendly and helpful, that has to be said. But the hotel is overpriced especially, if you see that the wifi is not properly working in the hotel even though they specify in advance that it does work, and that the rooms are not really clean. I guess the best thing about this hotel is its location.... More

The reception looks nice and some of the staff are friendly and speak English. The room was really dirty and under the bed was heaps of trash, TV didn't work, van was loud and it seemed all a little wet. The bathroom was terrible, lots of hair, broken things and it was dropping down from the ceiling. The people working... More

In hinsight I found most of Bangladesh accomodation overpriced compared to what you get in other Asian countries, but hey... that's just the way it is. - We stayed here 3 times: the more expensive rooms are the best maintained (stayed in one once because there was no other available and it was obviously cleaner, had a fridge & towels)... I have traveled all over India and SE Asia and for $30 US, this has to be one of the worst quality for money hotels I have stayed in. Negatives - I got food poisoning from the hotel restaurant (required antibiotics to fix) - very dirty hotel (stains on the sheets/mattress, dirty walls, bits of electrical applicants and wood stored... We fully enjoyed our stay in this centrally located hotel in an area that feels safe. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and speak English very well. The price\quality ratio is very good for Dhaka. The room is clean and friendly and the facilities are good. We will keep coming to this hotel while in Bangladesh as it... More

I enjoyed my 6 week stay at Hotel Pacific in Dhaka. The culture, spirituality, and community were hospitable, respectful, and protective particularly of visiting single women travelers. I enjoyed my time with the staff , who were very laidback, honest, and personable . The restaurant cooked specially catered meals, minimal salt, oil, spice specific to my liking. I recommend their... well Dhaka doesn't have the best budget accommodation, but hey this one is alright. if you opt for no AC plan on dying a fiery sweaty death in the middle of the night... but its incredibly cheap without the AC. fairly close walking distance to most main sights, and they even serve chicken curry during ramadan... sinners!!.so all in all... I booked this hotel because it was the only one with a website. Don't do the same mistake. The room was hot, unclean and with mold spots on the walls and ceiling. The sheets were missing and the mattress was dirty. I got surprised not to have bitten by bed bugs. The staff has not been helpful because it canceled... More
