Stayed here 3 times on my trip around Bangladesh. The rooms were being refurbished on my first visit and were some what better for the second and third time around. Quiet back road close to the lake, fairly well equipped. Area is lively but an hour away from Old Dhaka (given traffic) Positives, Airport pick up and drop off, Free... More

Our recent trip to Dhaka was made very acceptable by the team at our hotel. The food is top class and very original, every staff member gave their best attention to make us comfortable and the tariff, by Dhaka standards, was very reasonable. This is not a good time to visit the city, due to the hartels, blockades and rallies... More

The first time i visited Dhaka for a business trip got my booking done at this hotel. It is situated in a very nice and peaceful environment good for business travellers as they need peace after a long day of travelling for meetings. The food is good and the indian menu is also good for indian business travellers. Overall hospitality... More

This was our Dhaka base both prior to and at the end of a 12-day trip around Bangladesh. Not having visited the country before, it was difficult to assess any of the hotels used until the end of the trip, when meaningful comparisons could finally be made. The Rosewood has the advantage of being in a relatively quiet location in... More

On Fridays and strike days this hotel is under 30 minutes from the airport. At other times... Given the atrocity of Dhaka's traffic it is a long, slow journey to and from the sights your guide book will tell you to take in. So if passing through or you need to be in the Gulshan district it may be OK.... More

Th hotel is average and probably good value for the price - everything is okay - breakfast is okay and service is okay and the rooms are okay (with the exception of the beds which are very firm / hard) - the location, however, is excellent and that can make up for a lot when you are dealing with Dhaka... I stayed here for a couple of nights when visiting Dhaka for work. It is in Gulshan, so reasonably convenient. Basic rooms with a TV, wheezy AC and OK bed. Not too noisy. The food and service was fine without being special.

I stayed in this hotel for five nights in a mixture of single and double rooms. The double rooms were much better appointed and also in better condition. As with all hotels in Dhaka there can be problems with mosquitos. Although all the rooms were glazed and had fly screens it seemed obvious that these had been left open at... More

The room is OK, comfortable enough. Having breakfast there can be depressing if you stay more than a week. I had a horrible experience where I ordered a burger via room service and the next morning I had a waterry diarrhea! The diarrhea lasted for a week! Be careful what you eat even hotel food. The room lack of water... More

This hotel is surprisingly comfortable, as opposed to the only other reviewer's opinion. He's right, it's not the cleanest place on earth, but neither is it "dark and depressing"! Arrived at 6a.m. at the Zia Dhaka airport, after a 3 hour flight delay, and the hotel driver was still waiting for us. And the cars are both pretty new and... More
