Hotel upgraded me to a junior suite on the highest floor: a living room, bathroom and sleeping room. I had a view on the nearby river. Bed is quite hard. Decoration is lacking. But the rooms are spacious and clean, and everything worked. Usually the internet connection was quite good. Hotel staff is really friendly and helpfull; with the usual... More

I've been there during my last business trip in Dhaka. First feeling when i enter was "Oh my god where i am!", but the kindness of the staff has changed my mind soon. The room is old but great, anyway very sad furniture, please change!!! Breakfast was very poor, but the rooti bread very good. Service room very quick and the food good... More

This is Kamruz Zaman from Washington, DC, - Stayed there on the banani property for a day with my extended family - 6 of us. Service is unparallel and i have stayed in many many hotel in my life. Whatever you want, whenever you want, however you want, its done. We were like royalty there. Checking in was a breeze,... More

At first things seemed to go bad. Despite them promising to pick me up at the Airport, no one was there. Checking in was friendly and OK. I was tiered after a 36h travel day from Europe. Then I found out that my flight had been canceled (United Airways BD - not reliable at all!). The clerk immediately called his... More

This place may not be so appealing from outside or from inside..but one thing that makes this place unique is hospitality..the genuine concern for guests that is evident in every staff at this hotel makes it so different from the best 5 star hotels in the city and this includes the owner of the hotel..in fact everyone of them at... A very cosy and nice hotel for short stay in Dhaka in a central location for a reasonable rate. Pros: 1. Friendly staff and management (speaks reasonable English) 2. Understand the requirements of international NGO staff 3. Decent rooms 4. Nice open space with some water bodies-a luxury in Dhaka's concrete jungle 5. Lot of continental food available in-house Cons:... More

This hotel was fairly basic - but clean and with very friendly staff. You get a fridge, TV (no cable apart form one or 2 channels), air con, cheap wireless internet that works well, decent bathroom, decent food. I'd stay again if going to Dhaka, put it that way. Very friendly staff. Just not luxurious, so stay if you are... More

I stayed at the Marino Hotel during a work trip to India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, and I felt much more at home here than I did in a number of much more expensive hotels the same trip. Apparently quite a few other foreign NGO staff regularly stay here. The decor isn't much to write home about (mostly faded 70s!), but... More
