The stuff is very nice and pleasant. The cafe is very good, especially for the hotel cafe. Rooms are great. WiFi works. The location is comfortable: everything is reachable. Not far from the sea, not far from Old Baku.

Only stayed one night here in December on the way back from a trip to Sabiribad. The hotel is in a great location. I really like Baku, and love exploring all the small side streets on the way back from the office, and stumbling on some interesting bars. The HDP is on one such side street just round the corner... Stayed for two days in October, 2013. Excellent location, close to the main shopping areas, the Old Town, the Opera House and the enormous embankments built on the Caspian sea coast. Breakfast is simple but politely served, and the staff were generally very helpful. Large room with a sofa, nice bathroom, quite hard beds, but I like these generally (though... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is very central in baku and close to a metro stop if you need to go elsewhere. The rooms are very spacious and clean, only downside was the air con wasn't working, if it had been summer that could have been a problem. The staff were very friendly and helpful.... More

We really enjoyed staying here! Our room was quite nice, and staff were helpful. Breakfast is plentiful. Location A+. Laundry prices were way too high...they aren't sneaky about it, just a warning. The room cost itself was quite good value, considering how expensive Baku hotel rooms seem to be generally.

The Hotel Du Port (until recently Hotel Red Lion) worked out well for me in a 10-day staty in November, 2012. Recently remodeled, clean, serviceable, good WiFi, in a great location. It is in a neighborhood with people on the streets, cafes, restaurants, bars, great variety of stores including small 24x7 convenience stores. Bath could use a shower enclosure. Staff... More

This hotel is located right in the center of the city. The Old City and the Seaside Boulevard are just few minutes walk from the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious but of average quality. Rooms are furnished with refrigerator, TV and a sofa. I was taken to few rooms to choose the one I liked. WIFI works fine.... More

A nice hotel in the centre of the city. Some problems with air conditioner were resolved fast.

I stayed in the Red Lion for about 11 hours having checked in at 2pm and getting picked up for a boat to the rig at 3am. I'm quite glad as I don't think I could last a few nights here! The staff are very friendly and helpful which is it's saving grace. The bathroom reeked of mould and there... More

The Red Lion is located very close to the pedestrian shopping streets and the old city of Baku. The room we stayed in was good sized, with a sitting room and a bedroom as well as a balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only two complaints: the heater wasn't working very well, and the nights got a little cold;... More
