We stayed here for two days in September 2007 during a small group tour of Armenia. Two days was enough! However, it is encouraging to find a hotel that is trying to encourage visitors to a country (Nagorno Karabakh) that is still recovering from a war (1991 to 1993) and that is as yet not officially recognised by any country other than its neighbour, Armenia.
The hotel has its own website with glowing descriptions that don't match up to reality. It mentions a buffet breakfast. That doesn't exist. Tables are set with four places. The food is already on the tables - four of everything. My husband made the heinous mistake of eating two small pancakes! That meant that if another couple came later to that table, there would only have been one pancake left.
We arrived quite late and the hotel had arranged a cold supper for us, that was quite inedible. We all went to bed hungry.
Our room was quite large, with a strange mixture of furniture. The air-conditioner wasn't working...
