I don't know how well know this information is, but there is an amazingly entertaining "Soviet Tour of Yerevan" that the Envoy hostel provides to interested people, even those not staying at the hostel. I do not want to reveal any information given in the tour, but trust me you will not regret taking it, best mix of fun and... More

I think it was the best hostel during my two weeks trip through the Caucasus region. Stuff speaks perfect English and Russian, always helpful and kind. Even we didnt make reservation but could get beds. Hostel is very clean. Not new but maintained very good. Bathrooms are very clean and neat. Clean sheets and lovely common area in the basement.... This is a great hostel, right in the center of Yerevan. The rooms are super warm, the showers are hot, the breakfast is filling and offers a wide variety (bread, yogurt, tea/coffee, jam, cheese, etc). You can borrow a hair dryer from the front desk and rent a towel for 500 drams (if you need one). The beds are really... More

I am a Dutch solo backpacker and stayed at Envoy Hostel for one week. Besides the perfect location, clean rooms, clean bath rooms (thanks to the nice cleaning ladies), fast wi-fi, I believe that the young, enthusiastic (daytime AND nighttime) staff deserves the most praise. They are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, not only with respect to present Armenian culture... More

staff was great, all spoke english & was a wealth of information. very helpful with everything, always friendly (unlike their sister hostel in tbilisi). dorms & communal areas were always spotless. dorm had no ventilation, but we used ac anyway & it's great that i didn't have to see the morning sun :) location was great, close to all the... Thanks for taking the time to review us. It means a lot to us. We are so glad you enjoyed your time at Envoy. We noted your comment about our Tbilisi crew, its surprising to us as all our sister hostels (Yerevan/Tbilisi/Phnom Penh - a new edition) are really a friendly bunch (perhaps other things was getting in the way... I didn't stay in the hostel, but I went for two tours. The first was not really a tour and more a private car+driver. Musher picked us up at Tbilisi and drove us to some main sights around the northern region of Armenia (Haghpat, Sanahin and Akhtala). Musher was our driver and not a guide, but Mush's English was great... More

It's a really good place in the city centre, with a good service and well organized. Nice and young stuff always helpfull and kind, not a noisy hostel, perfect for backpackers. Not really bright because of the kitchen and some rooms situated in the basement of it but with large ambients is not giving you a bad feeling for it. Summarizing bathrooms,... More

Simply the nicest place I have ever stayed. Best staff, helpful, friendly, super patient, creative with amazing tours and nice ambiance attracting the right sort of travelers. Want to know what it feels like travelling in foreign land and feel at home... go to Envoy! I do communist tour, great fun mixed with stark realities of soviet union.

There is really nothing bad I can say about this hostel. The people who opened this place have done their homework, and know what makes a good hostel. First and foremost, the staff is amazing. Every person I met was friendly and super helpful. Second, the dorms were very comfortable. Good beds, individual reading lights, lockers, shelf, the works. Washrooms... More
