Originally a Soviet Intourist Hotel, it was modernised and converted to a Marriott about ten years ago. This history means there are a few problems with accessibility. To reach the rear wing of the hotel you need to climb three long flights f stairs before you reach the lifts. I have some mobility issues and there was no problem getting... More

We stayed her for 3 nights in September 2014. What we disliked: 1) we had to take our heavy luggage upstairs 2 stores as there are no lift for the second building from the entrance 2) our room on 7th floor was old, needs renovation 3) no bathrobe, only 1 pair of slippers in the room. you have to call... Think it's a best address in Yerevan, but not the best hotel in Armenian capital. Historical building and seems very historical (ancient) carpets, furniture, stairs, towels and elevators inside. Nice beds and pillows, but dirty and dusty balconies. Cable tv and smell of cigarettes almost everywhere in the hotel. One thing is undoubtedly perfect - service (real Armenian hospitality) and... At breakfast I counted 45 people and only 1 waitress! This meant tables not being cleared a real "self service" for tea, coffee, cutlery etc. The gym is not acceptable for a Marriott hotel. In the executive lounge there was no staff around for the full 45 minutes I was there. Service in the outside cafe was non-existant on my... More

We stayed here for 3 nights from 6 to 8 Sep touring Armenia with a group. Although the hotel is right in front of the Square, our room faced the inside courtyard with no view at all. Its dark even in day time. The room with twin beds is of good size. But the bathtub is very old and the... More

Unfortunately we are unable to provide all our guests with Republic Square view rooms, but on the other hand rooms facing courtyard are very quite and many our repeat guests prefer to stay there to have a good rest. By the way all our guests have an opportunity to enjoy the view or in our Meeting Point cafe or in... More

Located in the heart of city, the hotel is a five star luxury style hotel offering wide range of hotel rooms. Ask for a republic square view room and enjoy the view in the evenings. It is well fits all kind of needs, including business, couples, family, etc

Firstly on arrival, we were briefly directed to our room. It took us half an hour to find it, as the front of house staff failed to tell us the hotel consists of 2 buildings. Secondly, having booked in the morning for dinner in La Cucina the following night, with a number of others in our group, we arrived apparently... More

We stayed for a week. My rating may have something to do with having a room facing Republic Square. On Independence Day after dinner we settled into our room about 8:00pm opened the windows facing the Square and the stage had drinks in our room and watched the entertainment and fireworks in comfort. Couldn't have planned this any better. The... More

I think if you could I'd give the Marriott three and a half stars. We were part of a group who had very mixed feelings about their rooms. We had a small but comfortable room overlooking the square. The bathroom was very small with a shower over the bath and nowhere to store your toiletries. Others had bigger rooms with... More

The hotel is abut old but it's still clean and well kept. The best rooms are on the 6/7 floors with a view on the main square where there is a fountain show almost every day. The location is superb for business or leisure in yerevan. The staff is unprofessional but hardworking. The food in the hotel is quite good... More
