This hotel isn't a 3-star hotel as advertised. The rooms we got were old and there were big stains on the carpet. Also the bathrooms looked very outdated and not very clean. My bed seemed to be infested with lice or flea, since when I woke up, my whole right hand was full of small bites concentrated on some spots.... more

not a nice hotel. It is huge and absolutely not cozy. The rooms are really huge we had two pieces - a bedrom and a living room in one room, but there are tiles on the floor and plastic coaches in the "living room". The bathroom is old and durty looking. Breakfast is fine, nothing super, but a wide choice.... more

Hai Yen Hotel is in a great location opposite an excellent beach. Keep walking in either direction along the beach and you will find good restaurants and cafes. On Sunday evening be sure to stroll down to the square to experience Vietnamese families at leisure. Saturday evening is extremely busy with young singles out and about on their motorbikes. The... more

It started when the hotel "forgot" our pre-booked, double confirmed, pre-paid transfer from the bus station to the hotel, with the ensuing confrontation with the abrupt staff who made us pay for both the transfer and the taxi we took to the hotel. The jail cell was really old and smelly and the only thing not from the 60's was... more

Spacy rooms, not really modern but god enough. Hotel is along the boulevard with many restaurants and bars. Food good. Close to city centre. Beaches are very nice and quiet. We booked the 4 islands trip, great scenery and great entertainment with live music and floating bar. more

This hotel was basic but clean and well maintained. And the room was only $12 + $3 for a cooked breakfast. Included breakfast was simply toast and coffee. You get charged extra if you have a second serve!! But being owned by 2 Australian guys the hotel did have Vegemite, but when I ordered a cooked breakfast and got 9... more

We booked the Sea-View Suite. It was on the ground floor, facing towards the beach, however, the only thing visible was the car park. The suite was very big - living room area and bedroom area and it had a small balcony facing the car park. The beds and wardrobe were reasonably new but the living room area looked a... more

The only positive thing about this hotel is the spacious room. Everything else was terrible. The service was not good, there were mosquitoes in the bathroom, and the bathroom toilet was leaking water. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. more

The Lobby smells like smoke. We stayed in the beach front rooms. Rooms are so small you can't barely fit 2 people with luggage. Outdated, but not what I would call dirty. The air conditioner didn't work properly. There was 4-5 inch gaps under the doors and that left plenty of room for bugs and mosquitoes to come in. The... more

The Hai Yen is a reasonable place to rest your head while you enjoy the surrounds of Nha Trang. The location is good, right on the beach and a short stroll to the main area of Nha Trang where there are lots of great restaurants. We spent about US$30 per night for three people, and for what we got I... more
