'New life' certainly is a new way of life here ... Whilst this hotel leaves a lot to be desired, such as dodgy wiring / don't all use the electric circuit at once, dodgy air con, TV with one working channel, warm fridge etc it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt! At first we found it frustrating,... More

We stayed here for one night. Before leaving for dinner the receptionist asked for our key, and we refused. She said that they only had one key and that we might loose it, but we still said no and kept our key. When we returned in the evening, looking forward to our air conditioned room, we realised at they had... More

Me and my girlfriend were truly terrified at the state and lack of customer care at Newlife Hotel. I am not someone who is bothered by conditions too much, but there was urine all over the "so called cleaned" toilet. I told the receptionist about this...she didn't seem bothered or apologetic in the slightest. She did clean it though after... More

Just don't stay here. We arrived after a 17 hour bus journey to be greeted by the world's grumpiest girl on reception. We had booked a family room for 3 people but we're told this wasn't available and to come back in 1 hour. We returned to be taken to room 301... a double bed. We then watched a mattress... More

We've been travelling round SE Asia (Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam) for nearly 4 months and this is comfortably the worst accommodation we've stayed in. The staff are rude, dismissive and don't really care if you have any issues. Even accounting for language barrier, the attitude is not good. Unless you're really lucky all the rooms seem to share hot water... More

although we arrived in Hue after a hellish night train from Hanoi, to wet, cold, miserable, british-like weather, so decided to get the next vehicle out of hue that afternoon, so only used the room as a base for a quick shower, charge up electronics, and place to leave our bags while we whizzed off to the ancient city for... Where to begin with this hotel? I stayed here, with my girlfriend, earlier this year. Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly and helpful staff who carried our luggage up to our room. We went straight for a nap, having just been the victims of one of the hellish bus journeys around Vietnam - from Hanoi. The bed was comfortable... More

The room was dirty and tired, and the bathroom was worse. Receptionist could not speak english. We had a gecko and cockroach in the room. In the morning, the owner constantly shouted downstairs from 6.30am. Photos do not rifle t what the place is like. For $10 it was very cheap, but would recommend paying more and staying elsewhere.

This is a nice hotel, especially for the budget, but the staff are so pushy. Our room however, had no window so was stuffy, and the shower was a dribble of cold water - try hot and the water stops flowing. Whenever you walk past reception, it is a constant stream of questions about your plans. If the receptionist gets... More

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst passing through. Really good location, close to lots of restaurants. Payed $ 10 a night with a great free breakfast. Room was clean and spacious with comfy bed and tv had plenty of english channels. The staff were extremely friendly especially the receptionist named Ms Linh, she helped us book a hotel in hoi...
