I asked for a soft bed when booking and got one! Wonderfully comfortable. The rooms are very pleasant and perfectly adequate. Location of this hotel is great. Just near Banh Thanh market and lots of restaurants. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice for the western palate. Would definitely stay here again

Normally I don't stay in three star hotels, but Lan Lan is worth staying at just for the breakfast - a quite wide range of Vietnamese food, including chicken and beef pho, fried bananas, etc (only the coffee could be improved). The room is standard for a 3 star hotel - not especially quiet. When I arrived I could hear... More

We have 3 days stay with the hotel with 2 rooms. In terms of cleanliness, the room is clean. However, the twin bed room that my children stayed, the air con is not cold and the water flow is not working well. The breakfast provided is considered decent with some varieties of vietnam and international spread. Wifi is free and... More

We were lucky to be given VIP suites on both occassions we stayed. These were comfortable, spotlessly clean but uneccessarily gigantic rooms with bathrooms containg fancy whirlpool baths that didn't actually work properly. However, being on high floors they were quiet and we slept very well. Breakfast was average. Staff all friendly and helpful. The best thing for us was... More

Found hotel really nice - clean - and staff were nice too. We stayed two nights and found it everything we wanted. Breakfast was good, as was WiFi. We were not conscious of traffic noise but had windows shut and air conditioning on so that may explain lack of outside noise. We would stay again as very satisfied with hotel.

We stayed here a total of 4 nights on a group booking. The rooms we occupied were at the front of the hotel on 4th and 7th floor. Street noise was evident in both, but the higher you go the less noise is evident. Good size rooms with adequate bath/shower room. The restaurant served an excellent buffet breakfast, the evening... I stayed five nights in front/road facing Room Number 601 (6th Floor). A good room but if and when I stay there again, for perfection, I would try and get an even higher room, with a better city view. Mine was a large, spotlessly clean De Luxe Double room with a big window, letting in a lot natural light. My... More

What is the point in giving us a kettle without any use for it? Anyway the room was fine but lacked a window and when exhaust fan was turned on it brought in the smell of other people's bathrooms which is disgusting. Ants in the bathroom on the 8th floor proves that it is not fully clean, although the maids... More

About 5-min walk to Benh Thanh Market and 10- min walk to Pham Ngu Lao Backpackers' area. You can change foreign currency at the many goldsmiths shops nearby to VND at good rates - better than the Tan Son Nhat Airport Money Exchange booths. Many cafes / eateries in the neighbourhood. Good spread for breakfast, including western breakfast.
