What a great find!!! Exactly what we need after a month of travelling. We stayed in 2 rooms for 3 nights in January 09 and really enjoyed our last hotel in Vietnam. Each room had a double and single bed. Chanh was wonderful - always so happy and helpful. We had some laundry done and it was returned the same... More

Based on other positive reviews here on tripadvisor, I booked 4 nights at this modest tourist hotel starting 24 December 2008. While "modest", I'll go 5 stars because this hotel probably ranks as best in class. Booking with manager Chanh over email was painless and when I landed at 23:00 the driver that he had booked was there as promised.... More

Stayed for 3 nights in Dec 08. Was sent an email about 3 days before we arrived from Chanh welcoming us in advance and once again confirming reservation. He also offered to arrange for a taxi to collect us from the airport, which we accepted (making life so much easier after an 18hr flight!). Hostel is great, as everyone says... More

I booked 3 nights at the Bich Duyen hotel at the beginning of january, and it was my first port of call in Vietnam. I'll be honest with you, it's OK, nothing more nothing less. From some of the reviews left on trip advisor you'd think it was plated with gold?! We stayed in a very small double with no... More

Actually this guesthouse saved us. We had booked another one in the same street which was overbooked and didn't had a room for us although we had a reservation and paid a deposit already. So I found this one across the street and we've been lucky to find one room vacant. (The hotel is too good to have lots of... More

Travelled through vietnam in December and January 08/09. Bich Duyen was our first experience of vietnamese guest houses. Great value rooms, with windows overlooking the safe and quiet little alley. Spotlessley clean, and I mean 100% spotless. Chanh is a nice guy, very friendly, speaks great english. Fair prices on taxis to/from airport and to/from Ga Saigon train station. Takes... More

My partner and I stayed at the Bich Duyen for one night at the end of December 2008 based on the TripAdvisor reviews and found that it was a great choice as promised. Basically they delivered what they promised and did it with style and not fooling around. No need to say more.

Great value and great location, close to markets. It's on a backstreet so you're protected from the noise of Pham Ngu Lao. Twin room was comfortable and clean with a double and a single bed. Free internet in the foyer was awesome. The manager, Chanh, was very friendly, helpful and dedicated - carried our heavy bags up the stairs and... More

Stayed here for a total of three nights, split by a few nights away. We highly recommend staying here - the location is down a quiet backstreet but is central and walking distance to most sights. The staff at reception made it for us - they were VERY helpful and booked taxis/tours etc for us and recommended some great restaurants... More

The Bich Duyen is the perfect place to stay in Ho Chi Minh city, and accross the road at the Ngoc Linh is just as good (if anything the beds at Ngoc Linh are a bit more comfortable). We stayed at the Bich Duyen when we first landed and were greeted by Chanh - who never stops and is always... More
