Stayed for one night whilst on our way to nha trang. We stayed here as my partner was sick and we needed somewhere as soon as we got out of the taxi and lonely planet recommended. The price was $20 and as this was much more than we usually pay we expected a good room. We were wrong...the room wasnt... More

Stayed here with my dad for two nights and its really in a very good location, with the travel companies and bus operators just next door so it's easy and convenient to book bus tickets and board the buses. Reception staff all spoke English, though it may take a few gestures and simplistic explanation to ask about certain things. Very... More

I stayed at Orient Hotel for 2 nights in Feb. 2011. I also stayed at this same hotel for a week in Mar. 2005 (6 years ago!), and nothing had changed with management and service -- generally, a positive. The hotel is located in Pham Ngu Lao in an extremely convenient location. The room rate is on the high side... More

I felt like I stepped into 1960's Vietnam when I came into this place. For me this was a good thing. It's to experience once in your life and never again. The outside of the hotel is very nice looking, but the room is quite dated. I immediately noticed a mosquito stench which some incense cleared up. As for the... More

We chose this hotel as in LP's SE Asia on a shoestring guide. They wanted to charge us $20, though we got it down to $17. We were given key to room, only to find that room was not ready. Sheets dirty and used bottles of water on the side. We waited for room to be cleaned. I was felling... More

Booked this hotel months before, and reconfirmed 3 times. They did not have the correct rooms when we arrived. the rooms were musty and not nice at all. Having stayed in HCMC before these were very overpriced for what they were

We had booked a room for four people for 4 nights on the internet at USD 40/ night. We were offered a first floor room with two queen size beds - no soap in the bathroom and no toilet paper either. The room was tiny so we placed one of our bags on top of the closet - there was... More

US$25 per night including breakfast for a room with a window. Make sure you ask for a quiet room at the back of the Hotel as the traffic starts at about 3am. Walk to Ben thanh markets, Museum and coffe shops for time out. Nothing flash but well worth the money.
