I can't, for the life of me, figure out why this was Lonely Planet's top pick. I booked the room in advance and only after showing up did I find out the room had no window and looked like a prison cell. I promptly returned to the reception desk to ask for a room with a window, and was informed... More

We stayed a number of times here, and the rooms we stayed in were spacious, clean and had great A/C and slowish wifi. The two women at the front desk were somewhat indifferent to service, but the man was nice and very helpful. The male waiter was by far the friendliest and happiest person working there! He bought out nice... More

My time at Indochine started positive thanks to Ruby, who seated us and provided tea while shre showed us maps of places to visit and warned us about certain areas. We were utterly charmed by Ruby and if weren't for her this hotel would get one star. Our stay in Hanoi was marred by a few things. First, I had... More

My Fiancee and I stayed here for one night during our trip in Vietnam. The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful, they let us check in at 10am. The rooms are nice and have a small balcony. The breakfast was one of the better ones we had on our trip and the coffee was amazing. The hotel... More

The hotel location was excellent - easy walking to all of central HCMC. My wife and I found the hotel staff to be accommodating and our room was quite nice. We enjoyed happy hour at the rooftop bars of the nearby 5 star hotels each afternoon. The hotel's basic breakfast each morning (eggs and bread) provided a good start to... More

Stayed four nights here, and despite construction work next door we had a really nice stay. Staff were helpful, room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was simple and effective. The location is excellent, in a really nice part of town and close to everywhere, except perhaps the backpackers district. Definitely recommend it. More

This was my second stay at Indochine hotel. The first stay was average, and the only reason why I decided to come back was because of the location (and I couldn't find other hotels for about the same price in the city centre). This was a mistake. My room STANK of stale smoke, and the air conditioner was not working.... More

I bit on the lonely planet "our pick" and booked this spot- bad start to our trip. It is a good location but do yourself a favor and pay a bit more to stay at Caravelle or Sheraton. Nice staff but the place smelled and the rooms were awful. Our towels looked like they had be washed in dirty dish... More

loud drilling from workmen in the next room from 6.30 pm to 8.00pm despite several visits to reception and assurances that it would only last 5 minutes. It only stopped when I went into the room myself and ordered the men to stop! (I had explained that my wife had had emergency dental treatment that afternoon and had a wisdom... More

We stayed at the Indochine in HCMC after having spent a week at the lovely Indochine Da Nang. After our experience there we were slightly disappointed. We had booked a standard room and we didn't have a window, that is never nice. That was of course our mistake since we opted for a cheaper room. The AC worked well and... More
