The hotel is fine and reception staff very helpful. Unfortunately, the bell boys/ door staff tried to run a scam with us and the airport taxi. We had researched the right taxi firm and the approximate price, when we got in the taxi, the bell boy very rudely shouted something into the cab to the driver. When we arrived at... More

I was concerned with the other ratings people had left. We stayed here for 5 nights and then a further 3 nights when we had returned from Hoian. We had no problems at all, the staff friendly, the position is as close to the centre of Saigon as you can get, the rooms, we had a family room was great.... More

We were on 11th floor and the room was still extremely noisy! Staff need a bomb under them. The trainee on the front door was the friendliest staff member The breakfast was terrible. Boys sitting outside the breakfast room were on their mobiles and never even acknowledged us. Everything was laid out and had gone cold. The bread didn't need... More

This is an ok hotel but quite expensive for what you get. I imagine the increased rate is due to the pool but really you wouldn't want to spend more than a night here. We checked in after landing at HCM because it was late and this was on booking.com. The staff aren't particularly friendly, the room is functional and... More

Don't expect any frills. And don't expect a greeting from the reception staff. They won't even bother to look up when you enter the lobby. The room is basic/adequate. The breakfast buffet rather ordinary. You will be located very close to the market in a very busy area. The indoor pool is smallish yet not soup hot, so it did... More

Just stayed here for four nights and it's a good, convenient hotel for the price. The hotel is located in a renovated 1930's French colonial building in District 1 which is where you need to stay if you're a tourist. All the main attractions are within a 25 minute walk, though some of the streets you have to cross are... More

We chose to stay here because of the pool...as this provides an activity with the kids. Was nice to have the pool...and we did put it to use...and had it to ourselves each time. The room was ok...didnt realize it was a room they allowed smoking in...so had that stink everytime you enter. We stayed in another place in saigon... More

Location is in a dirty area. surrounded by old shops and stalls. Not that close to Ben Thanh market, as you have to cross 2-3 busy streets to get across. Room is big, but oddly decorated, and a little creepy. I.e. like in an old Chinese drama. Internet was not that stable. Thank God we booked for only 1 night.... More

The hotel's location was central and a convenient base from which to access tourist sites we visited: Ben Thanh Market (which was disappointing), War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace. Personally found the hotel to be a little tacky and claustrophobic. Took refuge across the road at the Nghe Thuiat Cafe for some fresh air and good coffee. Staff were helpful... More

It is OK for a night, but for longer stays, although I am a frequent budget hotel booker the Thien Tung hotel I would have found somewhat sad. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the Ben Thanh market and the Saigon Central shopping complex and well located for the other tourist sites in Ho Chi Minh... More
