Hotel was nice. I would recommend especially for price. More of a 3 than 4 star. Note. Menu price for body and foot massage service was 290,000 VN. But when I went to get massage they failed to note that they would charge tip on top of that fee. Making total cost over 500,000 VN. That's outrageous. Go into the... More

Welcomed at the airport by super friendly staff. Private car transfer. Quick checkin to room. Great room, large, nice bathroom. Ordered very cheap room service & it was delicious - fried seafood rice & spring rolls. Great peaceful night sleep. Lovely buffet in the morning - heaps of choices. Once again, friendly helpful staff. I asked the hotel to confirm... More

I stayed here for one night after flying in from the UK and before flying onto Phu Quoc. The airport pick up was great and very welcoming. The hotel looked a little dated but the staff were friendly, especially the porter. My room was clean, comfortable and spacious. I ventured to the buffet for dinner - it was jam packed... More

I stayed here for one night with full board because my Malaysian Airlines flight got cancelled for some hydraulics problems with the aircraft (I wasn't happy about the cancellation, but I was glad they chose safety and was responsible to their passengers). Its location is some 15 minutes from the airport, which is quite convenient but then again district 1... More

First of all, I advise you guys to whatever you guys do, always double check the prize when checking in. The prize difference is alot. I was on First Hotel, and when I was at the reception, the people there gave me their prize for one night was 1.8-3.8m each night excluded vat and the service charge prize (15%) for... More

We stayed here as a one night stop over on our way to Taiwan. We have previously stayed at another hotel, which we thought was very good as it was close to the airport. The only problem was taxi drivers weren't that keen on driving short distances. The First Hotel offered a pick up service so we gave them a... More

First Hotel staff were waiting for me when I arrived at HCMC Airport. It is about a ten minute ride to the hotel which is located in a mixed residential/commercial district. My experiences of this hotel and indeed of this city were all pleasant surprises. An efficient check in enabled quick access to the room, which was decorated in a... More

If you can read between the thinly veiled lines of my title, you see where I'm headed. It seems a fitting quote, considering my experiences here. I regularly stay in the First Hotel, as the company by which I'm employed leaves us little choice. Let me start with the positives. In the +/-30 nights I've spent here, the staff have... More

We have now stayed here on 3 separate occasions, on this occasion for two days, we were met at the airport by the hotel who were waiting even though it took an hour to get the VOA at the airport. Breakfast is excellent, staff are great and we had the all you can eat buffet on the Sunday night which... More

Forced to stay in this expensive government hotel due to visa issues; its a joke of a hotel compared to what else is available in HCMC; atrocious; and of course this hotel gets an award an for top 4-star hotels - government run in a communist country; dishonest staff and management (Nguyen Minh Hoa); terrible customer service; sparse/dark hotel room....
