We stayed in Huong Sen Hotel for two separate nights (visited Tra Vinh in between). Check in was super easy, the desk staff and porters were very kind. I was able to purchase postcards and stamps from the front desk and they took care of the rest. My family in Canada had the postcards in 10 days. We had a... more

Everything you could need from a hotel. Don't bother with the internet at Reception - even the staff say it's too expensive. There's a good internet cafe diagonally across the cross roads outside. more

I never cease to be amazed at the whingeing and whining of some travellers. This has to be one of the best value *** hotels in HCMC. It's USD$50 cheaper than the supposedly better Bong Sen across the road - the Bong Sen doesn't have a pool, the Huong Sen does on its rooftop. The Huong Sen is better than... more

We stayed here in June for five days. Tripple room with breakfast was $80.00 per night, book ahead via internet for discount price as walk in rate is usually about $30.00 more. The hotel is situated bang centre of saigon district 1 on Dong Koi, close to everything. Rooms are large with large bathrooms, excellent aircon and cleaned everyday. Only... more

The 4 of us were in need of a hotel when we arrived into Ho Chi Minh, so we went straight to the "hotels" counter at the airport. We were looking to stay for 4 nights, so the staff flipped through her binder and called many places as they seem to be mostly booked up because it was so last... more

Great location for looking around the city BUT ..... Room on 4th floor was dirty and particularly smokey, and when this was mentioned to reception staff as we went out for a wander, came back to find window left open, not really the solution we were looking for. Stayed also on the 3rd floor and room was less dirty but... more

Difficult to find a better location in Saigon, especially on New Years Eve. Very easy to walk to most of the attractions and shops and restarants are in abundance. The hotel has pleasant public areas and a great rooftop bar with adjacent pool. The rooms are clean and ok but dated and our en-suite was excellent. Very good value for... more

The reservation and the payment for 2 nights was made through DirectRooms.com - a subsidiary of Glad Enterprises Co., Ltd. We got there late on Jan.8 2008. It is well located. The "Deluxe room/triple" at 88 US$ / night appeared to be clean. However, the mattresses were very mature... major depressions in the mattress making sleeping that night very unconfortable.... more

OK. for the money. Do book in advance - expensive just to arrive at the counter. Reasonably efficient staff and breakfast and pool ok. Great location. more

A friend booked this hotel for me twice... I had to be nice and swallowed all my complaints.. WORST experience.. strange 70's FLOWER POWER blankets.. really bothered me. Maybe it was just me, but these thick blankets did not look like they were washed/drycleaned often... so I was itching all over my body. OLD interior.. seriously needs a major face... more
