We have been to the Caravelle Hotel for 4 days just to relax during the few Vietnamese holidays (from 27/04 to 01/05). Pros: We got 2 rooms on the 20th floor with a great view over the city. The breakfast was sumptuous and got a lot of choices among fruits, Asian dishes and European cakes. The service here responded almost... More

Dear Tinja Z, Thank you for your feedback. I would like to apologise if your first impression of the hotel was not positive. In explanation it is very normal for hotels to ask for either a credit card or cash deposit when checking in to a hotel. The reason for this is as in fact the hotel is providing a... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were very spacious and we had a great view of the City on the floor we were on. The service was excellent and the staff were always very obliging and friendly. The breakfast was possibly the best I have ever experienced. The location is fantastic as the markets and restaurants are all... More

we stayed here because it was the area that we wanted to be in, and got a great deal direct with the hotel website. Email was easy and quick booking dire t with the hotel. We would stay here again if we got a good rate because of the location and comfy rooms. PROS: location, service, comfy bed, good sized... More

This is a modern, high rise hotel with excellent staff in a great position. We only stayed 2 nights but made the most of our stay by contacting Saigon Hot Pot before we left England. This is a student charity organisation where university students take you around their city, practise their English, share their interests and life with you, and... More

The last time I stayed here was in the seventies - and there was a war on! The only bit of the Caravelle that hasn't changed is what was the rooftop bar - now called the Saigon, Saigon bar. It still has an open outside terrace and ceiling fans. But the rest of the hotel has been superbly modernised and a... More

this was our first trip to Vietnam, heard about this hotel from talking to people who have been, right in the middle of old Saigon, main hotel building very nice but not very large, rooms are nice and very modern and clean, we stayed in the executive level and enjoyed the free drinks and nice eats, when we were there... We stayed here on two separate occasions over a one week period. Both times we were upgraded to premier room(meaning bigger room). If you want, you can pay an extra $80 or so to get club privileges. We were told that the club was only open from 5pm to 7.30 pm so we did not think it was worth it.... More

It may not be the 5-star of the branded hotels, more towards 5-star of the local hotels. But this is a good-enough hotel. Service is excellent. Any requests made to housekeeping are replied within 15 minutes. Do check the bathrobes before wearing. Location is wonderfully near to many restaurants like Ngon and spas like My Spa. More

This hotel probably has the best breakfast in the world!! The staff are very friendly and the location is excellent. It is within walking distance of Ben Thanh markets, the river and Dong Khoi Street (shopping street). It is also close to some great restaurants. Although expensive for Vietnam it is worth the money.
