We stayed for 2 nights and our room was clean and big enough for the 4 of us. Our son slept in an exra bed like a roll out and our daugher who is 7 slept with us in a king size bed so we were all comfortable. Breakfast was ok with a basic selection. We ordered room service on... more

The Metropole is a fabulous little mid range which is clean, modern, friendly and unbeatable value. It a little out of the way but when a taxi to the markets is $1.50 its not a problem. Pool area is excellent and the sports bar was the perfect place to unwind after the Saigon madness. Just be careful of the tour... more

This hotel was a great little oasis close to all the action. We would not hesitate to stay here again! It was literally a 5 minute stroll to the backpacker area where all food, souvenirs, and tours are really cheap - although in amongst a lot of people and motorbikes! Also, a 10 min walk to the Ben Than Market... more

There are many hotels & budget places to stay in Ho Chi Ming City; But Metropole is suited best for mid range as It's nice & clean though not huge a room for twin but it has a comfy feel to it; Situated in a good location, you can just walk across the street to the backpackers area where you... more

Stayed at the metropole for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised when we were given a free upgrade to a suite upon arrival (from the superior deluxe). Rooms were very clean and were recently renovated. Staff were helpful with arranging taxis and helping us get from AtoB. Buffet breakfast had a good variety including american and vietnamese style breakfasts too... more

The Metropole is a good location in HCMC, very clean rooms, great bed, fantastic buffet breakfast included in rate. Easy walk to markets and other attractions, would find it hard to go past this place when back in HCMC only other than maybe try the Majestic which looked like a nice place when we past by it. But the staff... more

Out of all the hotels we stayed in this was my favourite when it came to staff!! They were warm, welcoming and friendly! They always had a smile on their faces and would have a laugh with you! They seem to genuinely enjoy seeing us having a good time. The door man was brilliant and always made sure that taxi... more

Hotel Metropole in general is average, you pretty much need to take a taxi to most locations in the 1st Dist. The rooms are small but updated they do have a small gym and pool. The breakfasts were excellent. The staff very helpful. The main problem was the travel agency by the front desk, they are charging way too much... more

Only stayed one night at Metropole, traveling through HCMC on my way to Hoi An, but it was comfortable. It might be best for a short stay, as the room was a little too cozy -- on the small side. The room however, was very clean and neat. Hotel amenities looked very nice -- pool, gym, lounge/bar, and meeting facilities... more

We stayed 4 nights at Metropole Hotel and were very pleased with the rooms and service. It appears to have been refurbished as the furnishing still appears new. We had a room facing into the building and was quiet. The employees were friendly, in particular the concierge as they helped us call for taxis (and told the driver of our... more
