When you are in Vietnam it seems that every second shop is selling Graham Greene's chilling prophesy "The Quiet American", so why not stay at the heart of the story, the Majestic Hotel where much of the book was written. The Majestic simply is; a grand old lady, one of those old colonial hotels, like Singapore's Raffels and Hong Kong's... More

The location of the hotel is nice, very convenient to get around.but the quality of service is so poor.they don't seem to be willing to work, always having chit-chat, not so helpful or friendly, not up to international standard of service. I don't think we would stay there again . water was leaking from bath tub,no small lights in the bed room was... More

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The service was excellent and the hotel building is an old colonial building. Location is good in the heart of the city, nicely situated. The room are a little worn out but overall its comfortable and has the basic amenities. Breakfast is not that great but the service of the staff are... More

Very nice rooms (with view option included, cheap) and large too. Drinks and breakfast on the rooftop facilities is the best in town. Good travel agency too, with non-hotel options available. The seafood buffet at night (all inclusive) is great too......................................................................................................................

We stayed in the Majestic twice during our visit to Vietnam. The old world charm at the hotel is fantastic. Both times the rooms were wonderful, clean and comfortable. On the second visit we got an upgraded room which was stunningly good. There is a small pool in the centre of the hotel with a small but well equipped gym.... More

We had a bad start. Arrival at 01:30 as previously notified was to a totally deserted lobby. The room first assigned to us was directly beneath the Breakfast Room. Our dinner dishes in the hotel's Cyclo Restaurant were close to inedible. Then our five days four nights turned round. A new room was found for us apologetically and efficiently, the... More

we had a splurge and booked a suite. There was a mix up and they put us in the Grand down the road (separate review) for one night but we still had 2 nights there. Lovely decor and HUGE suites with spa etc. Loved it. They gave us a lower floor unit on the same floor as the pool and... More

While I appreciate the history of this hotel, I wasn't impressed. It looks beautiful from the outside and the location is good, but that's about it. With the exception of the nice airport transfer drivers, the staff was cold and indifferent. The rooms are spacious, but outdated and drab. The rooftop has a nice view and the breakfast offerings were... More

Ok it may be a little dated and in need of some refurbishment but this is the elegant old lady of Saigon. Situated on the riverside and at the end of one of the the best shopping streets in the city this is the place to stay in HCMC. We booked a riverside room with balcony and it's worth the... More
