Stayed here in October 2014 whilst in Saigon for a few days. A luxury hotel that lives up to its name. It could not be better located not far from the Cathedral and close to the river. Accommodation and dining of a very high order. A very stylish and tasteful building.

Despite having reserved 4 nights in a Junior Suite in the new tower 7 MONTHS ahead, we were told when arriving before 4 pm on the correct day that they had already filled all the Junior Suites and we had been assigned a slightly larger suite in the heritage (old) building. We appreciate the old world style so it wasn't... More

I stayed at this hotel in November 2014. The hotel is situated in a nice part of the city and the opera house is a five minute walk from the front door. There are also an excellent number of shoppe and restaurants nearby. It's a nice lively part of the town. You will have to master the art of crossing... More

Stayed here for around 5 days. The staff are courteous and helpful. Food menu is very boring. Breakfast buffet was quite good though. The room allocated to me was facing the inside of the building. Therefore basically no natural light - very depressing. The gym is poor, not what you expect in high end hotels. Location is very central, ideal... More

As we travelled as part of a group, I did not book this hotel, and is not the type I would normally stay in - I prefer fresh and modern. It certainly has old world charm and we had a suite (not sure which as I didn't book it) which was comfortable and clean, but I personally don't like dark... More

The room was what you'd expect from an international hotel except for the lighting. I had to use the bathroom to read the local tourist map. Breakfast was acceptable. The pool area is positivity dangerous. Some twerp has covered the surrounding area with a layer of stones on which walking is painful. They have then placed small slabs on top... More

Just booked into Grand Hotel Saigon. Deeply disappointed with rooms. Exceptionally poor quality compared to all other hotels we have stayed in during our visit. Lots of bling in reception, one old style lift to rooms. Room old fashioned, small, hot, poky with bad shower/bathroom and weak air con. Facilities non-existent.

Had a two night stay here after touring the Mekong river from Siem Reap down to Saigon. The first impression was fabulous. Placed very well in the centre of town and the concierge were excellent. The room we had was one of the nicest I have stayed in. The wifi was good and beds very high standard. The bathroom was... More

We stayed here for two nights ahead of a Mekong River cruise. The hotel had been arranged by Travelmarvel who were the tour operators. The hotel enjoys a great location close to the city centre and we were able to walk to the many local attractions with a large choice of restaurants being available within five to ten minutes walk... Stayed it this very nice hotel for five nights last week and my overall impressions are very good. Rooms are spacious, breakfast good, and location just perfect. Pretty good value for money! The only problems we construction works in the reception lobby and elevator maintenance that created a little bit of an inconvenience. Also, lobby can get very crowded during... More
