Stayed here for 3 nights. For what I paid, it was a great value. Breakfast buffet was ok, nothing spectacular. However, the view from the top floor was awesome, considering all the construction at ground level. Staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Most front desk staff spoke English well.

The superb location, which is right in the middle of the city, is the only good point about this hotel. Afternoon buffet is not tasty at all. Some desserts tasted weird. Corn and crab soup is too starchy. Breakfast is much better though. We got a room that is facing directly to the construction site. So yea, it's noisy. They... More

This is a basic hotel. Four-Star it is not! It is old - from furnishing to decor - and very cramped room, dining and lobby. Though it is in District 1 so that makes it nice to walk around. However, there is major construction of a subway going on now causing the street in front of the hotel to be... More

Very quiet in spite of all the construction in town. The Oscar is conveniently located to all the downtown hotspots and tourist draws. We got the hotel at half price, so I can't complain about that. Before booking anything, you may want to inquire how constructiin is coming along on the new subway system. As it is, taxis are unable... More

Rooms are standard, clean and spacious, except for the window.. although it looks like a normal window with glass, day and night curtain, etc, the window is actually sealed off by a wall, so the room practically feels like a dungeon. I think close to half the rooms are like this, so unless you're prepared to sleep in an enclosed... More

The hotel is located centrally and ideal for walking around the downtown area. Unfortunately, the subway construction prevents one from driving straight up to the main entrance of the hotel. I suspect this will continue for the foreseeable future. If you travel with a lot of luggage, beware. I am sure a bellman will assist you, but it will not... More

Hotel is centrally located. You can easily do a self-guided walking tour to see the main attractions such as Opera House, People's Committee Building, Cathedral, Central Post Office, Reunification Palace, Ben Thanh Market...This area of Saigon is much grander than I imagine, and has a European look and feel. Dong Khoi Street that runs parallel and next to Nguyen Hue... More

Booked at Oscar Saigon Hotel from October 28 to 30, 2014. It is located in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh and is right in the middle of the City. It is just a walking distance to the renowned Ben Thanh Market and it is a few steps away from the Saigon Opera House and high end malls. The hotel... More

The hotel is located nicely and have easy access everywhere. Infact, it is walking distance to Night market as well as pubs and restaurants. I had heard lot of mixed reaction on Saigon but found it to be nice place for a holiday. Its a busy busy city and lot of construction work in going on for new Metro coming... More
