The best thing about this hotel is the location - right in the middle of the tourist area - walk anywhere. Take a room with a window facing the main street. Restaurant on top floor - not terribly exciting but OK for breakfast. This is about the 5th time I have stayed here as it's so handy to everything. Unfortunately... More

Location is perfect! Walking distance from a big market and with the greatest view to the square and city hall. But the hotel is old, the rooms are small and personnel not friendly. The only hotel that did not offer a special welcoming on our honey moon. Moreover, due to a misunderstanding with the travel agency, they did not give... More

Smallish room but they are equipped with all you need and very efficient housekeeping staff, but a medal for anyone who can get one of the reception staff to smile. Also they told me if I booked a second stay directly with them they would give me a discount, which I did and they didn't, even when it was requested... More

Nice clean little hotel in the heart of District 1. Small room, but impeccably clean and neat. Not sure if all rooms are like this, but ours had 2 very tiny single beds. The elevators are hilarious - 4' x 4' at best; barely room for 2 people with suitcases. Lots going on right outside the door - fun neighborhood!

Th Oscar Hotel is a 3 star property with small but neat and tidy rooms. It has a 1950-ish kind of decor. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. My husband I ordered room service one evening because we were too tired and jet-lagged to go out. The food was at the door almost as soon as I put down the... More

It is located in the center of the city which is great, the staff is friendly and the room was squeaky clean (no bugs :p). The breakfast is ok. Sadly the sheets were constantly too short for the size of the bed so our feet were rubbing against the mattress. There was also no window in the room, and the... More

We were placed in this hotel by the tour company and we did not have any say in it. Although the hotel has a 4-star rating, and is in a good location, the constructions all around made this hotel feel like very average. We received decent service from the receptionists and the breakfast buffet had good variety.

This place is more properly classified as a 3-star hotel. It was opened in 1989 and has clearly had only the most minor of updates since that time. The amenities are severely lacking for a "4-Star" hotel. Rooms without windows I expect in 1-3 star places in Asia, but not 4 stars. Overall the place just felt like a clean,... More

Well placed in centre of city. Unfortunately the wide street at the front is undergoing a major refurbishment so is a bit rough underfoot. We had to change our room immediately as the air con wasn,t working but the staff were extremely helpful and assisted our move. The top floor restaurant served an excellent breakfast but we were not too excited...
