We had booked a room without a window which we didn't realise until we received the booking confirmation but as we were only staying one night, it didn't matter. However when we arrived the reception staff upgraded us for free to a city view room, which was lovely. There was work going on outside so although the view wasn't amazing... More

I stayed at the hotel from 26 to 30 Dec 2014.This is not my first time as I have stayed a few times at this hotel. In general ,it offers value for money as it is centrally located, nice clean well furnished rooms & provide a free buffet breakfast. However for my latest stay, there were some hiccups. First before I... More

This was the first hotel on our trip, we only stayed 2 nights and we were out sightseeing most of the time. The hotel is old, a bit tired and doesn't have the best entrance from a back alley, but it's clean tidy and cheap!! The location is ideal, everything is within walking distance which is great. I can't comment... More

The room was so small we had to put our suitcases on the bed to open them. The bathroom was a tight squeeze. The elevators were also two person sized. The view from the breakfast room was impressive, but the food was not. I thought the selection of food was limited and the quality low. The staff had difficulty understanding... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. For what I paid, it was a great value. Breakfast buffet was ok, nothing spectacular. However, the view from the top floor was awesome, considering all the construction at ground level. Staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Most front desk staff spoke English well.

The superb location, which is right in the middle of the city, is the only good point about this hotel. Afternoon buffet is not tasty at all. Some desserts tasted weird. Corn and crab soup is too starchy. Breakfast is much better though. We got a room that is facing directly to the construction site. So yea, it's noisy. They... More

This is a basic hotel. Four-Star it is not! It is old - from furnishing to decor - and very cramped room, dining and lobby. Though it is in District 1 so that makes it nice to walk around. However, there is major construction of a subway going on now causing the street in front of the hotel to be... More

Very quiet in spite of all the construction in town. The Oscar is conveniently located to all the downtown hotspots and tourist draws. We got the hotel at half price, so I can't complain about that. Before booking anything, you may want to inquire how constructiin is coming along on the new subway system. As it is, taxis are unable... More

Rooms are standard, clean and spacious, except for the window.. although it looks like a normal window with glass, day and night curtain, etc, the window is actually sealed off by a wall, so the room practically feels like a dungeon. I think close to half the rooms are like this, so unless you're prepared to sleep in an enclosed... More

The hotel is located centrally and ideal for walking around the downtown area. Unfortunately, the subway construction prevents one from driving straight up to the main entrance of the hotel. I suspect this will continue for the foreseeable future. If you travel with a lot of luggage, beware. I am sure a bellman will assist you, but it will not... More
