Whatever you do, do not stay at this hotel. It was the worst service we have ever received. The staff was totally unaccommodating and for being a 4 star hotel, virtually no one spoke good English in order to help us with questions or directions. Their business center is a stand up computer in the lobby with no chairs and... More

We stayed at the Hotel Continental because my dad used to live in Saigon and sat out on their veranda back in '54. For us it was this or the Majestic, but the rates there were almost double. The rooms facing the street with verandas are best IMO, and the place reeks with history. it was clean and functional. we... More

We had seen mixed reviews of the Continental but decided to give it a go anyway, in part because of the Graham Greene connection. We were successful in requesting a room away from nearby building work but heard other guests complaining and asking to move rooms. The big problem with the place is terrible staff - rude, unhelpful and indifferent.... More

Stayed here as I couldnt sleep because of the noise at Bich Duyen. They had summer specials so we decided on some deserved luxury. We had the deluxe room and it could have slept a village and their friends. The room was lovely, bathroom western sized, beds comfy. My only qualm was breakfast, as the Majestic has better range of... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Continental three times, and will continue staying here until some cash-rich hotel chain decides to renovate and upgrade it, after which room rates will go from $100 per night to $500 and all the charm will be lost. For now, however, Hotel Continental is THE place to stay in Ho Chi Min City. It... More

As we read tripadvisor extensively before booking this hotel we weren´t suprised at all and happy to find a relatively quiet room with view to the opera house. The bed itself was quite comfortable-so all in all after a night in another hotel so loud we could either have slept on the street we were pleased to have a good... More

I find this hotel very beautiful based on the pictures I see in the internet so I decided to book for a night. The wood designs were okay, courtyard was nice but it seems to lack some glow in it. I find the place a little bit hunting at night. Maybe because of the old decoration. Though this time, there... More

For those who are tired of finding the same modern accomodations wherever they travel, the same beds, the same furniture and the same US-style cafeterias and bars. The Continental is definitely different. Having breakfast in the courtyard underneath the "frangipaniers" is unforgettable, as is walking along the corridors used by Graham Greene when he wrote "The Quiet American", or getting... More

Stayed one night at this hotel simply for historical interest and that was enough. We wern't bothered by the construction, had a nice room with balcony overlooking opera house. Rooms are huge but really old fashioned ( daggy old fashioned, not classic) and seriously need updating. The coutyard is gorgeous and breakfast is fine. Nice lobby and exterior. Ask to... More

We have stayed at the Continental before and found it a grand old hotel with lots of history. However the stay in July 10 , saw the hotel undergoing some room renovations. Hallways were full of construction materials which we were supposed to walk through to get to our room. I was so disappointed with the room that I asked... More
