Hard to beat staying in the city's oldest hotel. The place oozes charm and history. Had a junior suite which was a great size for dad and I. Room very comfortable and there was a great atmosphere from the balcony overlooking the opera house courtyard. Breakfast was a hit in a splendid setting underneath the frangipani trees.

Loved my stay here. I had large expectations and it didn't disappoint. I was staying alone and had a junior suite room. I had wanted the next one up but couldn't justify it in the end. The room was enourmous for one person. The facilities in the room are so splendid and plentiful. The mini bar is extortionate. Don't touch... More

Have stayed here twice in the past few weeks. Both stays have been great. Lovely, spacious rooms in the old style but with modern amenities. Beautiful breakfast in the courtyard or restaurant. Our first room overlooked the courtyard and there was a wedding and music but finished at 9.30pm and it wasn't a problem. In fact it was interesting. Our... More

distict 1 is the place to stay for a quick 2 days visit to HCM. This hotel is placed just right for walking the old parts. It has a long history which could easily be told to its visitors - but no, Nothing of that is communicated. Instead it is set up for business an weddingparties. Still we had the... More

The Hotel is 135 years old and you can see it specially in the Bath Room, A tub 26 inches high impossible to get in and later out no grab bars to hold onto. Cracked sink, Floor grout is painted,The room is very large with 12 feet ceiling, a balcony not good for much, furniture is old but nice carved... More

Old world charm meets high end neighborhood. Fantastic value and top notch service. Great open court yards, gorgeous flowers, and wood carved furniture. Highly recommend staying here, but skip the spa. Go around the corner to the Temple Leaf Spa.

Beautiful, hotel. Absolute classic with amazing history. Full of charm with lovely large rooms. Breakfast was had under frangipan tree. Full of charm. Hotel well situated. And sitting outside having a drink opposite Opera House was great. Back to the days of Graham Greene.

This hotel is in an excellent area of Saigon across from the Opera House. It has a wonderful lobby and a great garden area where you have a fabulous breakfast. However, the rooms definitely need remodeling! The carpets have obviously been there a long time as they are filthy and stained and the bathrooms need remodeling. It has a tub... More

For once tried this hotel for its exterior and extremely central location. Colonial style, very authentic. Spaceous room, quiet. I liked all this as normally I pick more modern places, business style. Reminded me a bit of the famous Majapahit in Surabaya. Very friendly staff all over, from checkin to breakfast cooks. Being downtown is a big plus.

Stayed here for 4 nights with the family. After a initial mix up (our reservation was cancelled) we got an upgrade to a junior suite. As written in other reviews the hotel feels a bit worn, but it adds to the old world charm. Rooms are spacious. Most importantly its very clean and kept very clean. Breakfast was included and...
