One of the best hotels that's we have been too. Had a charm and aura of its own. Location is excellent, staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to ensure that you have a great time! All the points of interest are within walking distance from this hotel. We could hear the opera from our room... More

We loved this hotel, very french colonial, beautiful room. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was extensive, lots of choice. It is in a very busy part of town, but if you don't like busy then Vietnam would be for you. Its an exciting part of town and you can walk most places from this hotel. Highly recommended.

We stayed here three nights, and absolutely loved everything about this hotel, EXCEPT for the very loud band and singing noise at night, which did not end until midnight, and made it so we never had a good night's sleep. However, the rooms are generous I size, the bathroom. Is quite nice, the toiletries are abundant and quality items, and... More

Second visit after nearly twenty years of staying in other HCM City hotels - thought I would give it a try and see what's changed. The answer - nothing at all. It was old and tired in the early '90's during my first visit and nothing has changed (except adding internet). This place has such potential - history, central location,... More

Historic hotel in heart of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Great location across the street from the Opera. Built in the 1880's, but updated to more current standards with huge, clean rooms. Excellent included buffet breakfast which can be eaten inside or in the interior courtyard. Helpful service and excellent wifi. Walking distance to Ben Thanh Market, Notre Dame, City... More

This is a wonderful old hotel full of history and very well located. The rooms are huge - carpet could use a good wash and/or replaced. Huge breakfast buffet and lovely courtyard restaurant. I would stay here again.

We had a very disappointing experience here. We found the hotel very noisy, dated, and simply creepy. We were assigned rooms on the first floor above the lobby and the street noisy was terrible. There is a major subway construction project across the street and the hotel is on a large intersection. Traffic noise went to well after midnight and... More
