This is not a new luxury hotel, however it is a colonial hotel that has been remodeled to keep up with the times. The building is old ok, but is very nice kept, it brings you back about 100 years in time when the French still ruled Vietnam. rooms are nice, AC works good, bathrooms are nice and clean, bed... We stayed here on the last night of our month long Southeast Asian adventure and it was just what we needed before getting on a plane for 24 hours. Basically, we wanted to be a little spoiled with a comfy bed and great shower. We chose Hotel Continental also because of location and its notable place in history as a... More

Room was large, sterile, and unpleasant to just hang out and relax. Furniture and plumbing must be from 1880 when French colonized VN. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and diverse though not great quality. Attentive and helpful staff.

You won't beat the location of the Hotel Continental in Saigon, which is just next to the Opera House and block away from the old Town Hall and the Notre Dame Cathedral. This French colonial building has seen better days, but still provides a comfortable stay with an Old World ambience. The rooms look somewhat dated but are spacious and... More

I booked this hotel because of its colonial look n feel, my wife n I were surely not disappointed with this. All aspects of an 18 century colonial building was there to experience. The rooms were large with ample space, the toilets are dated but functional, the balcony overlooking the Opera House is just awesome. The light coming through the... More

Hotel Continental is what the Raffles is to Singapore or the Peninsula is to Hong Kong. An iconic monument that has seen better days. Rooms are from an other area but the staff are friendly and willing to help. Although it needs a good renovation there is something quite pleasant about the place. Do have breakfast in the courtyard. That... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Continental Saigon. It's centrally located and makes getting to central sights & attractions very easy. Right beside the Opera House and walking distance to Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Square and the War Remnants museum. Lovely old French architecture and nice spacious rooms. The Starry-Nite bar is drab and not... More

The slightly outdated decor is exactly what makes this hotel special. It was like stepping back in time and was a romantic experience of history. Our room was huge! We had a balcony over looking the square were we could watch Ho Chi Minh City busily go by below us. The bathroom was beautiful with lovely extra special touches. We... More

We booked the junior suite and found it spacious and adequate. I was quite impressed with the maintenance of the structure being already 135 yrs old. Has a faint musty smell and the kids thought the interior design was creepy. They were expecting all that time for a haunting of sorts. I don't mind it though as I felt reverence... More
