Stayed here 3 nights as last city on 3 week tour of Vietnam. Agree with other reviewers- large room facing Opera House 314 but pile drivers across the road for the much needed Metro not good for peace& quiet. Having said that there was only 1 late afternoon of my 3 days here that was really bad. The Rex hotel... More

Stayed here as part of a group at the end of a tour of Vietnam. Can't fault the location; you can walk to all the main attractions. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was good and served in the delightful inner courtyard. However, when it came to the room, I was disappointed and felt that it was in need... More

We found the service exceptional and the suite for our family of 5 was very spacious. We liked the historic feel of the hotel too. The furnishings in the room were a bit tired but very clean and functional. The location was great. We would definitely return to this hotel.

We chose to stay at Hotel a Continental being fans of the 'Quiet American' by Graeme Greene. Overall we were happy with our choice. We were able to check in early although we were given a twin room rather than a king. The room was fine, it could do with an update. The breakfast was good & the staff at... More

A beautiful historical (1880) building and a prestige façade , and an ideal location in the very heart of the historical city . A beautiful patio for the breakfast , and a nice and affordable French restaurant ( Le Bourgeois) in a typical 19th century upper class style . Friendly reception and service . Regarding the rooms , I should... More

This hotel is next to the Opera house in the centre of the city. It retains its grandeur. Worries about noise from a wedding on the night of my arrival were not realised since festivities ended at 9pm. The rooms are large with high ceilings. There is currently refurbishment going on of one wing of the hotel which can be... More

Pleasant and inexpensive considering the history and location. Large room but a little down at heel.Odd niggle with the room such as the shower not draining well. Very nice courtyard for drinks and breakfast but spoiled at the moment by building work.

The hotel is very old. Decorated in colonial style. The bed room is big but very old furniture and blue bathroom. It's quite clean although the carpet is old. What I like here is the breakfast room. They serve decent breakfast in the breakfast room which also in the garden. Very sunny and lovely. Most of the staffs are nice... More

I chose this hotel due to its history and was fully aware about potential noises due to wedding. Fortunately, my stay was very quiet and I had a great time. The location was very central yet in a quiet location. I woke up at five one morning and enjoyed standing in the balcony looking at an almost empty city. A... More

I booked this hotel since it is very historical, prestigious, and thought it would be an oasis for my stay in a vibrant, colorful city of Ho Chi Minh. The hotel was spacious, clean and prestigious but there was one BIG problem. The hotel has a lovely courtyard in the middle and is so popular for weddings that preparations start... More
