The best thing about the hotel is the location, its very central, in the main tourist area. Walking distance to shopping places and historical buildings. Stayed for 5 nights. However the hotel reception staff is very rigid and not friendly though. Rooms have been kept in their original condition............ The housekeeping will strictly not give more than the 2 small... We only stayed a couple of nights at the Continental but it was a great place to stay. It's historical old building has stood the test of time. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location puts you in walking distance to bar, restaurants and shopping. It is in a busy location but really handy to everything you may... More

We stayed at the Continental because it was central and one of the original hotels in Saigon with history which seemed fitting for a first trip to Vietnam. The interior really has been kept as original as possible to the time of its Renaissance and the colonial style throughout the hotel is truly unique. Of course there are some small... More

The hotel is in an excellent location with all the main sites in walking distance. Breakfast was excellent, a great range of food served in a pleasant area of the hotel. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are not ultra modern but they are fitting to the style of the hotel. Our room had a balcony a great view... More

The Hotel Continental has a unique old world charm. There is a lot of atmosphere and ambience. The room prices are very good for this type of hotel. They serve a fantastic breakfast with a huge choice. The manager overseeing the breakfast was very helpful and welcoming. It is a real haven from the bustle that is Saigon.

She may be the Grand Old Dame of Saigon but she aint what she used to be.... The history and architecture of the hotel is the essence of old Saigon and a far cry from the modern city that is now Ho Chi Minh although the hotel has some modern features. The restaurants serve qeeuality food but at a price... More

Had no idea what to expect as the reviews were quite good, but found an extremely average hotel for our first visit to Ho Chi Minh . We had a suite that overlooked the opera house with a balcony which was nice, but also extremely noisy. The smell upon entering the room was damp & that lovely carpet smell that... More

The rooms oozes of old colonial charm, high cielings, spacious rooms, french balcionies, if your room faces the opera house, which is preferred. The bathroom in my suite was a bit run down but it was functional. Beds are big and comfy. breakfask in the courtyard is great, superb coffee, by the way. The only drawback was that the hotel... We stayed for a week here again. The suite we had was wonderful and spacious and clean. Had a huge bath and whole area was huge and the beds so comfortable. The breakfast is good and in a well lit and spacious room. You may eat outside too,in a court-yard. Service is good and informative. Opera house is over the road... More
