We arrived fresh off the overnight bus only a stone's throw away from the hostel. Our 6 am arrival meant that our double room wasn't ready, but we were offered a bed to sleep in, a shower to use and breakfast to eat whilst we waited. In fact, the friendly staff were a real feature of this place and give... More

Excellent location (on Pham Ngu Lao across from the park) in the heart of Saigon's backpacker district, this budget hostel ticks all the boxes: friendly staff who speak English, cleanliness and affordable rates ... AND an air conditioner that works! It's a few minutes walk to restaurants, bars, shopping and attractions; however, with such proximity comes the never-ending raucous of... More

Located right in the middle of the heart of Pham Ngu Lao, District 1. 2-3 min walking distance to main tourist centre such as Sinh Tourist centre and my favourite luxury express bus agent Giant Ibis. The bed is clean and comfy. The locker provided is enough to store valuable items. The attached toilet is at acceptable level. However, the... More

First of all I would like to say the best thing about this hostel is the staff. I stayed there for 7 days before Christmas and found the staff to be really friendly and helpful with very good English. I have read some old reviews from people saying staff were grumpy/unhelpful but I know that there were some changes to... More

Great location. Some staff have good English but some have none. Rooms are ok , cleaned everyday. 3 people unfortunely had items taken whilst there as did I which is strange. Breakfast is a baguette and eggs or jam which is fine. The location is the key to this place. The tour organiser lady at the front is really friendly... More

Ok I'll start with getting to district 1 area before even reviewing the hostel .. As I'd read I went out the exit and walked left to the official taxi rank .. Told the dude on the meter which I'd been advised and we took off. As you leave the airport the taxis have to pay a fee (after chatting... More

Rooms were clean and breakfast was good, and it was easy to make friends with other guests. Stand out was the helpful staff who went out of their way time after time including arranging a cell phone for me to buy and activating it for me. Highly reccomend!

Again, contrary to my promise not to give positive reviews, I was asked to and as the person asking was very helpful and pleasant, I could not say no. We booked the hotel as it was cheap and well located. It was a good value for money hostel. Yes, there was no lift and we had to lob our bags... More

Fantastic hostel! I accidentally left my passport in one of the lockers in the rooms and rang them and they put it on the very next bus all wrapped up and wouldn't even accept a tip for doing so! Very central location, in walking distance to the main backpackers hangouts. Can book buses and tours from downstairs. The buses they... More
