For a tourist hotel, you probably can't get a better location in Saigon than Golden Wind. Even though it's in the block bordered by the two main tourist streets, it's down a lovely 'local' alley so noise is an absolute non-issue (unless you count the calls of the fruit peddlers riding past in the morning). As far as the room... More

The hotel has a good location, right in the centre of saigon. This is what you pay for. We booked a superior room for 21.60 USD and the first night we got a room (no. 503) that did not meet this standard. There was no lock on the bathroomdoor, you could not even close it as there also was no... More

If you compare it to the most of the other hotels in Vietnam you pay way to much for this hotel. But of course it's in ho chi min, so you can expect to pay more for less. The hotel is alright, after switching rooms we had a nice room, not to small, with a leaking ac (rm 306) but... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. Location was really good just off Main Street but nice and quiet at night. Room was always cleaned. Breakfast was pretty much the same every day but had a selection of fruit, cereal, noodles, toast. Staff were brilliant always friendly and willing to help. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for all your help... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Would recommend. Good points - *down a lane way so off the main drag. * clean and bright room (405). Maybe bring an eye mask if you're sensitive to the morning light like I am * bathroom no problems - good shower * decent price * good buffet style breakfast * helpful and friendly staff... More

To be short, this hotel is amazing. First, cheap price for good facilities: clean room and elevator. Bathroom is little bit worn, though. Second, very good breakfast-included in the room charge. While I traveled in Vietnam for four months, they usually serves wimpy options: choosing one of three or four- baguette with omelette (but no jam, cheese, or butter), or... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Golden Winds Hotel and our stay was pleasant. Rooms were clean, A/C, cable T.V., small but just big enough not to feel to uncomfortable. The staff were hopeful in setting up tours and buses into Cambodia and other parts of Vietnam. Breakfast was okay finished at 10 a.m. Could have been set up better.... More

from my blog: http://backpackingwithmishi.wordpress.com/2014/05/11/golden-wind-hotel-ho-chi-minh-vietnam/ Location: Golden Wind Hotel is located at the popular Pham Ngu Lao Street where you can find a lot of backpackers hostel, hotels, and business establishments. It is also few minutes away from the popular Ben Than Market, so shopping is really very easy. Along the street are a wide array of restaurants and fast food... More

Me and my friends stayed at Golden wind for 3 nights at the end of our trip in Vietnam. We wanted to splurge and get something nice to finish off our holiday. Golden Wind turned out to be great value for money. At around $11 per person/per night, it was exactly what we were looking for. It was neat, clean,... More

Stayed here for 4 nights during our stay in Ho Chi Minh, it was reasonably priced but you really do get what you paid for. Our room was tiny but had all of the basic amenities, including hairdryer. The tv had some English speaking channels but really fuzzy with a bad reception. The only plugs we had were over at... More
