It was my first time in Vietnam and was advised by a friend who had been living in Vietnam for quite some time to stay in District 1. It was a good advise to take since a lot of places are reachable from this district. We chose a hotel that is in District 1 and ended up in this hotel... More

A nice boutique hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff and nice breakfast. Rooms are clean and has all the basic thing you need (soap, toothbrush, shampoo, towels, kettle and tissue) Although the hotel is not visible along the road, it is not difficult to locate. We arrived late at night but there was a staff who waited for us across the street and helped... More

My husband and I spent several weeks at the Golden Wind Hotel while in Ho Chi Minh City and found the hotel very comfortable, plus very quiet as it was off the main street, down a side alley. The elevator was a plus as we were on the third floor, the staff were very helpful and the price of the... More

I would give this a hotel a 2.5. Great location, just down a back street off the main backpacking area. Service at reception ok with lockers to use as safety deposit boxes. Rooms were ok. A little basic and not the cleanest. Door to bedroom locked but there was a gap around door frame. Breakfast was fine with a decent... More

This was my third visit to this hotel and i stayed for a couple of months and on my last review a couple of years ago,if i remember well,it was titled '....BUT FOR THE STAFF ''' Well, this time round, Mrs Loan the owner-manageress, got it absolutely right with the staff in every department and had no complaints at all.... This hotel is amazing. First, even though it is located in the busy and touristic area in core District 1 in Saigon, I have never been disturbed by any noise. That's because it is surrounded by other buildings, natural buffer or soundproof system. I slept a sound sleep every night while staying in this hotel. Second, the staffs are so... More

For a tourist hotel, you probably can't get a better location in Saigon than Golden Wind. Even though it's in the block bordered by the two main tourist streets, it's down a lovely 'local' alley so noise is an absolute non-issue (unless you count the calls of the fruit peddlers riding past in the morning). As far as the room... More

The hotel has a good location, right in the centre of saigon. This is what you pay for. We booked a superior room for 21.60 USD and the first night we got a room (no. 503) that did not meet this standard. There was no lock on the bathroomdoor, you could not even close it as there also was no... More

If you compare it to the most of the other hotels in Vietnam you pay way to much for this hotel. But of course it's in ho chi min, so you can expect to pay more for less. The hotel is alright, after switching rooms we had a nice room, not to small, with a leaking ac (rm 306) but... More
