Stopped here for 2 nights. Was not offered fresh towels or toilet roll during our trip. Noisy at from children and a cockerel!!! Air conditioning was poor and extremely loud. Was made to take shows off outside building, which was fine, but not allowed to take our shows upstairs to our room. The door was secure however had a plastic... More

Located down an alley on Bui Bien st, next two two other Thanh hotels wasn't too hard to find. Stayed in a two bed room which was quite clean (sheets, bathroom, floor etc) and felt safe leaving bags inside. Air-con, TV and WiFi worked fine. Reasonably quiet as its off the street. Some good vendors in the alleys around too.... More

The rooms were ok, and the location was central for all backpackers. The only thing was that the staff were not helpful when trying to check in and out. We ended up getting a family room for 3 instead of a triple room and then charged more. Also, it is down an alley which at night was not so good... More

Room is dirty and the windows do not have a lock. They do not offer a safe to store personal items. Shower room is pathetic with a wonky toilet, wet floor with hairs all over it. Open soap been there for god knows how long. No toilet roll and toothpaste stains from the guests before, also I would like to... More

We travelled a lot and made very good experiences with the hotel saff in Vietnam. Unfortunately the staff at Thanh Guesthouse was very unfriendly and tried to rip us off. Twice. There was a dripping tab (wet floor...) and no toilet paper. Room was too small. Do not stay there!

Good, clean and cheap guesthouse right in the centre of the backpacker area. It is located in a small alley, but don't worry this alley is safe. Family who owns it lives there too and there is always someone around in case you need anything. We booked the room through agoda (seemed to be the cheapest from all booking sites... More

The hotel is really good located. From the mainbackpackerstreet it's hidden in a little alley. We really enjoyed the little alley and it looks like your living between the locals. The people around the hotel and the family are very friendly. Before hidden off to Saigon we heard terrible stories about the safety of ourself and our stuff. In this... More

We felt very ripped off after staying one night at Than Guesthouse and can't recommend it at all! For 15 $ there are much nicer places in the area, the room we stayed in isn't worth more than 10 $. The room was very tiny, to the point where it was difficult to move around with two people and luggage.... More

The place is a little hard to find if you try and walk there from the bus, it's in the middle of the backpacker district so really central, but tucked down an alley that looks like is just local housing. Most places around will direct you. We arrived early and they let us in and up to our room which... More
