Mai Guest House Excellent location right smack bang in the middle of district one, it's easy to find from Pham Ngu Lao - just find the street numbers and the alley marked 241/41 and head down it. Mai Guest House is about half way along the alley. If you've taken the public bus from the airport or arrived at the... More

Boyfriend and I stayed here for a night after moving around different hotels and guesthouses in hcm. It was by far the best guesthouse for the money you pay. Big spacious and clean rooms with a good TV to come back and relax to. Centrally located in the backpackers district with plenty of nightlife and about a ten minute walk... More

I stayed at Mai's guesthouse back in January and had such a great experience I decided to stay here again. Our flight was late and so we didn't get to the hotel til about 11pm. Upon arrival we were told we had been 'upgraded' and so walked to stairs to the top floor. Room was very plain and simple, but... More

I booked three nights here based on glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. However, after just one night, I could not stand it and moved to another hotel and just deal with the extra cost. First of all, instructions on how to find this place is minimal. We wandered around the alleys for awhile trying to find it before a nice... More

Highly recommend this place! Felt just like home! The family are so welcoming and willing to help at all times. Rooms were bright, clean and spacious. Wi-fi was good and the laundry service was the best! Definitely stay here! You wont be disappointed!

On arrival at Mai Guest House, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely owner. Due to Bens broken ankle and there only being high level rooms available, he let us stay in his sisters guest house right next door, which had a lift in it. The room was standard sized with windows overlooking surrounding buildings. The bathroom was small, and... More

Three years ago the owners of the guest house I have been using for nearly 20 years closed up and moved to the USA. In the mean time I have tried about ten other places here in P.N.L. I have had one problem or another with all of them. I have finally found the new home away from home when... More

A good place to stay at. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The 5 bed dorm at the top floor is quite a hike toget up to but very comfortable. Shower makes funny noises because of the low pressure :) The double room is even nicer, and has a fridge in it. Very quiet location in a small side... More

We stayed at Mai Guest House in HCMC and it was a pleasant stay as Mr Mai was very friendly and helpful. The first time we stepped in they handed us a bottle of water each which was a nice touch. The rooms were basic but comfortable with good quality WiFi and they let us leave our bags with them... More
