Right in the middle of the backpacker district, this guest house was a great way to spend a couple of nights in Saigon. Walking distance to many of the main sights, as well as literally being on a street filled with cheap beer vendors and many restaurants serving both local food and international cuisine. It did get a little bit... More

The family that runs this, in particular the girls and the lady(her name escapes me) were lovely hosts, very helpful and very informative. The area it's in is right in backpackerland, plenty of restaurants and shops around. I'd definably stay here again, you can't really go wrong for the price and it's only a short walk to anywhere. :)

This is right in the heart of backpackers area but a great location. I was on the thirsd floor and i didnt find it noisy at all. It's a great place to meet people and one of the major hostels where you sit out the front and drink if you like and there is a shop in the hostel so... More

Located in the heart of the backpacking area, close where all the buses arrive and leave. Rooms are quiet big and clean, you need to ask the staff if you want your room cleaned. Try to get a room on a higher floor, downstairs it will be noisy, esp. on weekends. Downstairs is a little shop where you can buy... More

We stayed there for a few days and we bought a Mekong Delta trip from them. Rooms are functional, simple and clean (ok, except the ants on walls, but I've seen them in many paces in Asia so I got used to). Staff extraordinarily helpful and friendly, I asked for hot water to make some tea and they brought it... More

A college buddy and I booked a last minute trip to HCMC and booked a room in this place a week before we arrived. Basically the backpacker district is a lot like a busier version of China - tall, squeezed buildings with restaurants, pubs, travel agencies, and small guesthouses on the first floor. Don't think there are that many rooms... More

Natural friendly and helpful staff (not the hipocrite type), the location is good, spacious room for 12 USD, during the weekend due to partying downstairs a bit louder, but not too much, from 3am it is quiet.

The guest house is affordable, clean, and has a great location right on Bui Vien Street. The only downside is that it can get loud at night so make sure you have earplugs. Good aircon and wifi, and Hanh is very helpful with anything you need.

96 is in a great location for backpackers within walking distance of the main market and lots of restaurants/bars. We were warned (via Trip Advisor reviews) that it would be very noisy because of the busy street but they put us on the 3rd floor so no problems there. Vietnamese Kitchen across the road is great for local food (randomly... More

In the middle of the Backpacker area it's of course noisey. Try to get a room more upstairs, then it's no problem. Mrs. Hanh is one of the most friendliest women we met on this trip through Vietnam! Always helpful and speaks good english! When I will come back one day, I will defenitly return to 96 Guesthouse! Cám ơn!!!
