Couple, booked 2 nights, Dec 2013. Even though the hotel was not full at booking, we were not informed that if you pay a deal price on agoda and arrive early they put you in the worst room available: no windows, no hot water, dusty, smelly, sheets pretty used and unclean. When we told them we will change hotels for... More

I found this place from hostelworld.com by the lowest price hostel on the date I came to Saigon. I see many bad review about the place but on my thought, it's not really that bad. Well.. about the staff, they are nice enough. They give me 5USD/night in the dorm + free breakfast. About the dorm room, it's clean enough,... More

This hostel's ubicated in District 1, just in the center of the city. My travel's friend and me chosen to sleep in one of the dormitories available in it. It cost only 5$ and we had breakfast included too. The room was clean and quite big with three showers in it and 2 washbasins too. Plus a comfortable couch and... More

(Formally Nga Hoang Hotel or Yellow House???) There are so many options to choose from, and I picked this assuming that it would be ok since Lonely Planet picked it as a recommended hostel (http://www.lonelyplanet.com/vietnam/ho-chi-minh-city/hotels/backpacking-club-hostel). However, upon my arrival, I made attempts to communicate my reservation that I made through Hostelworld. Neither of the two women who were there spoke... More

The owner is a very weird woman. She seems nice one day and turns to a mad weird lady the next. I booked a female dorm for 4 people before I arrived HCMC. Where the lady let me in was a dorm with a guy sleeping in. I said I booked a female room. She definitely knew but pretended like... More

When I arrived after a long flight. No one spoke English and I had to translate via a woman on the phone. I'd pre booked and paid for a single room and was given a key for a dorm. When I went back to the reception they took me to another room and made a couple get out of bed... More

The lady that ran this hostel was crazy! I'll give it thumbs up for it being cheap and clean and just having a laugh with the backpackers about the lady. She would demand your passport, be really unco-operative and have absolutely no control or new who and how many people were staying in her hotel. She had all the passports... More

Stayed here 3 nights. FIrst night in the $5 dorm (9 beds) and the other 2 in the $6 dorm (5 beds). All are mixed dorms. The rooms are clean and cleaned pretty well daily. There is no hot water even tho the owner claims there is. Wifi works in the lobby and the first 2 floors, but above that... More

I found this Hostel as I was walking around in the Pham Ngu Lao district, arriving early in the morning from Cambodia. It was a good value for money, the breakfast was included (nothing special: bread with egg and jam) and the rooms had aircondition. The dorms are really nice and clean and you meet a lot of travellers. BIG... More
