I stayed for four nights over Easter period, warm hospitality is almost non existent at the front desk, after first night of no sleep, I went down to an under average buffet breakfast (staffs here are probably one of only two reason I gave it a 1/5 rather than 0/5), I requested to speak with a front desk staff who... Not having visited Ho Ci Min city before I couldn't believe there was such a thing as a windowless hotel room. Paid extra $15US to be moved to a front room with a window. Apart from that it's quite central to everything and close to the markets. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Bed comfortable and it was a... More

I was looking forward to this hotel near the market. The first thing was Agoda booking. On the first page it asks how many people, you say two. When you go to book it changes it to one. So when you get to hotel they charge you US$10 per night extra for the extra person. Slip up for me for... More

I have stayed at this remarkable hotel many times. It is well above the 3 star rating that has been assigned to this property. The reception staff (Anna, Julie, Ngan and Ang) are so welcoming. As they are really the first people you meet on arrival you wouldn't find a more friendly and happy group to settle you into the... More

I stayed at the Kingston on a business trip for two weeks in mid-March 2015, so I was able to form an opinion about the hotel that was more detailed than my usual one or two night stay. The cost of the hotel is reasonable given its central location--approximately 60 USD a night. This hotel advertises itself as a 3... More

I had a relaxing 3-day stay at Kingston. The hotel people are all accommodating from the receptionist to housekeeping. I was even told to take care of my belongings by the hotel guard when I was about to go out shopping. Speaking of shopping, Ben Thahn Market (the main bargain shopping area in HCMC) is just a 5-minute walk. The... More

We had stayed at the Kingston Hotel on our last visit to Ho Chi Minh and were so impressed with it's service, rooms and location we decided to stay there again, however in 3 years the hotel has slipped in it's service level and the rooms seem to be little tired with a very hard bed and dating decor. We... More

Enjoyed this hotel during recent VN visit. Very clean, great staff, excellent breakfasts. Beds a bit hard but all else first class. Big fan of VN food and this was excellent. Great location near market, shopping, etc..

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Walked into the spa and immediately they were trying to get me to add more and more onto the facial package. Should have taken this as a warning. After the mediocre facial, the scantily dressed woman stood in front of the door and demanded I give her a big tip... More
