We arrived at HCMC on 5th Oct 2014 and stayed for 3 nights. We had also requested for Catina Hotel to arrange a pick-up transport from Airport as we were travelling with family. Our 1st impression upon arrival at Hotel front door, we were warmly received by the doorbell guy and smiles. Honestly, we did the room reservations online after... More

I have no complaints about the rooms themselves. They are clean, comfortable and look nice enough. However, I had a real problem with the food and service in the restaurant, which were atrocious. I've never experienced anything like it. 1) None of the employes in the restaurant ever smiled. Everyone looked miserable, which created an uninviting and uncomfortable atmosphere. 2)... More

The Catina Hotel is a good, clean hotel in the best part of Ho Chi Minh (District 1). Location is great, steps from many restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Not too far from the Ben Thanh market. The room itself is quite large, with a nice bathroom with all the required amenities. My room was towards the back, and the... More

I stayed for 2 nights. I was impressed to receive a welcome drink and a welcome fruit in the room at the first day, that I did not expect from the budget hotel. Its location is great which I could walk to the attraction place such as Opera house, Saigon Notredame Basica Church, Saigon Central Post Office, there are many... More

Always feel good to be back to this hotel, nice and friendly staffs. I'm been their hotel regular customer for a few years. Some old staffs left and new staffs came in - overall services still as good. Coffee shops, restaurants, convenient shops are just round the corner. Easily can get a taxi outside the hotel entrance. However, try to... More

This offers a nice retreat for the weary traveler. It can can be found on a much quieter and nicer neighborhood of Dhong Khoi. This is perfect if you want an alternative from the bustling backpacker area named Pham Ngu Lao without compromising location. Everything in HCMC can be traveled on foot, anyway. Beddings are luxurious and most important is... More

Very happy with the hotel. Location is superb, being right in town and across the road from the Opera House. I do have to disagree with some reviews noting the unhappy front desk team as I had very polite and helpful receptionist. The entrance to the hotel leads to jewelry shops on both sides selling precious and semi precious stones.... More

The location was good, the room clean and modern but the experience was sadly marred by the service from the reception team. If you're looking for that friendly, happy, Vietnamese welcome every time you approach the reception area, you're going to be extremely disappointed. Arrogance and unhelpful are the two terms I'd use to describe the Catina staff.
